These shows broke the mould in my opinion

Seinfeld, Larry Sanders,Duckman, The tick,Ren and Stimpy, The Simpsons

never saw the Goodies..prolly a little too young to be aware of it at its prime..(archive time!!)

stressed eric was funny... and bob and margret..i thought that was a really good take on greater london life ...a really well constructed cartoon series nice dry humour ..yummay

5 very nice comedies there buddy, BUT, only 2 original ones. Blackadder and Nighty night are simple formats, done before, and will be done again.
The Office is not original, just very funny, docu-sit-coms such as that Peter Kay thing had already been done.
Peep Show and Mighty Boosh are true originals, and being a huuuuuuge fan of anything random, mighty boosh edges it.

However, Darkplace is the king of all comedies, and thanks to Channel 4, is now in comedy oblivion. DAMN THEM ALL TO HELL!!!!

i voted Boosh.

boosh is the same format with jokes which are random but i cannot tell a lie.. i find it funny..

Darkplace was soo crap that i'm glad that channel four scraped it off their schedule and into the oblivion which is the comedy toilet...good ridence (how do you spell ridence) to bad rubbish

Peep Show's based on 'the odd couple' surely so not that original.

And Darkplace isn't original at all but you weren't saying it was I think.

The odd couple! Never thought of that. Perhaps they should change the theme tune for the next series.

I think it's impossible to be original any more. There's always going to be someone who'll find similarities in things.
