No,judging from earlier british animated comedy efforts I don't think so. I liked House of Rock, The Mister Hell Show and bits of Monkey Dust but theres never been one to match The Simpsons or South Park. We should feel content that we've got Aardman animations - their cartoons are nothing like the Simpsons but equally as good in their own way.
An Australian cartoon series has gone into production based on The Shamozzle hicksville characters, called The Skiltons, it's like an Aussie version of The Simpsons, rumour has it that it will be the next biggest cartoon series.. can you see it working?..
This news is hot off the press, Merv Skilton already has a large cult following in Australia, and now they are talking about him in England, he is like a real life Homer Simpson crossed with Crocodile Dundee and Steve Irwin. But I'm not sure how they will take him in The States (U.S.A.)
