I always thought Jeffrey Murdock from Coupling was quite entertaining, more so than some of the names on the list for the 50 greatest comedy characters. Does anyone know why that name isn't on there, maybe I'm just in the minority about him, but I'd definetly vote for him if he was on there.
I hadn't noticed but I totally agree They've missed a lot of fab characters out from that list though not sure they were detailed enough. other notable exceptions from the list are, Manny and Fran from Black Books, all the characters from spaced (apart from Simon Pegg) characters other than Lister from Red Dwarf and Guy from Green Wing.
I don't know its an impossible choice, i'll just have to hope that when I flip the coin it somehow explodes and kills me.
Who decides who should be shortlisted anyway? It's shocking the amount of great comedy characters that have ommitted from the list. I was surprised to see Tim Bisley from Spaced, yet where were the other characters? I think they only put him on the list to stop an outcry from Spaced fans. Bloody channel 4 polls.
