Hiyah...whats everyones favourite sitcom? I have soo many that i cant possible choose... shows like are you being served and ab fab, brilliant and not forgetting dinnerladies

Only Fools and Horses is without doubt the funniest sitcom of ALL TIME.

Friends all the way.
No other show has dealt with love,marriage,divorce,death,adultery,babies,fashion,cooking,acting,religion,science,growing up,settling down etc the way Friends did.
Every actor/actress on the show was fantastic,each episode had laughs as well as heartbreak.
It's still on channel 4 in the morning and e4 at night years after it ended. THAT'S how popular it was and still is.

I think you'll find that Only Fools And Horses dealt with every one of the above.

They dealt with death firstly when Grandad died back in 1985 and then Uncle Albert in 2001.

They dealt with marriage when Rodney married Cassandra and then in the following episodes when their marriage began to break down.
They've even dealt with a miscarriage when Rodney and Cassandra lost their baby.

They dealt with babies when Del and Racquel had Damien, and Boycie and Marlene having Tyler.

Only Fools and Horses has probably dealt with far more subjects than any other comedy over the years and every subject they've dealt with they've pulled it off.
I mean how the hell do you deal with subjects like death and miscarriage in a COMEDY. If you've got a script writer as talented and imaginative as John Sullivan and great, talented actors like David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst that's how you pull it off.

Friends is the biggest, most over rated 'comedy' of all time. It's typical American comedy - Unfunny CRAP.

Friends was too. All you yank-spankers out there have to realise the difference between what US audiences want to see and they are more into the glamourous looks of their stars than us. Unless it's deliberately done like Ugly Betty etc.

I think we've done good sitcoms like OFAH but that way over-run it's welcome and should have ended when they became Millyunaires. I also think that our off-beat stuff like Blackadder & Python is better than our sit-coms.
