For me its Peter Kay. He's good but he's not that good. He just talks about things that used to happen.

It also annoys me when you see people trying to be funny like him and saying T'internet and that kind of thing.

^^ catherine tate's comedy is mainly based on catch phrases, no real talent behind that.

and i'd agree that russel brand is incredibly overrated!!!

She is just catchphrases and costumes. He is good at some impressions but the dialogue he comes out with isnt funny its usually just what would George bush think of this ..... then pronouncs some words wrong.

Russell Brand's persona is so obviously contrived and plagiarised- the camp prancing, the effected speaking style, the buzzwords for the students to catch onto, and he nicks his actual comedy off other (actually talented) comedians eg.
"the thing about heroin- very moreish"- off Harry Hill.

the drug addiction, "sex addiction" statements all tabloid-baiting publicity exercises.

the way his got issues E4 show bombed in the ratings (even the dire Little miss jocelyn thrashed it in the digital channel ratings- now that's saying something) it looks like the public has at last realised the man has no actual talent.

I just don't "get" Ricky Gervais....I mean I've seen mostly all episodes of the Office and it's funny in parts but the amount of press it got for being "amazing"...I dunno where they get that from, y'know? And his stand up is the same for me...

Also any sort of "crass" comedy...I can't stand Bottom or Bo Selecta type stuff. Don't get me wrong I'm not a prude I don't mind swearing/dirty stuff etc but i just don't understand why you could find something so stupid, funny. I like Little Britain but some of it I don't for the above reason (the vomitting lady for instance..)
