I saw it the first time it came out. It had the scent of scandal. I thought the director handled this delicate subject with style. Almost a paedophile case. In any case this film helps to broaden one's mind but whose mind? It is all about love, kindness and intelligence and, of course, life's nasty tricks, I mean Fate.Isn't it difficult to make a film about these without boring everybody? Well, the story was rather unique: a teenager in love with a 70 year old woman! I do envy Blake Edward's talent.
