Usually i would review new relases but i got an oppountity to watch some recent film that i missed during last few years.

EVOLUTION

i have been meaning to watch this film so many times but i could never find it in the video store but i was lucky this week and managed to finally watch it. i am not sure whether i was disappointed or not with this film since this film is very funny espically that firefighter. I was impressed by make- believe animals that appered in this film. This film took comedy a bit too far in my opion but i really enjoyed.

Basically this metor comes to earth crashes into ground, it get reported by clumsy fireman and geologist come to see it along with biology friend and there take samples and discover that cell are evoloving into something. Unknow to Geologist his biology pal used to work for government until his vacine cause side-effect and he got kicked out. The government find out about and decide to take over by stealing the data. His only hope is women ( Juilan Moore) who is very clusmy person by always tripping down.

So how do you defeat an species that evolves and is about take over the Earth well what is the stupidiest thing the writer thought about, anyone, well Danaduff Shampoo. Where do these people come up with these idea is beyond my comprishension.

ok i would give this film a 3 out 5 rating because it certainly enertaining but it certainly will make u laugh. i glad i finally got to watch this film.

BIG FAT LIAR

This is 2 or 3rd film starring Frankie Muinz who plays a kid who excellent at lieing until he get caught and forced to do his english assignment 500 word story and he does this but on his way to school he get hit by marty an desperate film producer who need a successful idea otherwise he will get fired so when he give the boy a lift to school , he accidently leaves his story in Marty car and marty decided to read it and make a film about it.

When the boy finds out he decides to confront marty but he need help so he get his friend played by Amanda Bynes to help him out. She agrees and off there go to L.A where he confront marty but marty burns the his essay so there no proof.

This is when he decides to get even and steal Marty personal organiser and mess with him by putting blue dye in the pool where he swims and put orange dye in his shampoon, so u can imagine how funny he look, Marty still doesn't back down so he messes with his car. It was so amusing what happends to him. Anyway the kids get help from all people that hate Marty for the way there treat them and decide to help them out and manages to get Marty to admit he stole the idea.

This is a good kids film and i would certainly recommend to anyone who has kids, it is very enjoyable to watch and it made me feel happy that i watch this film. I would give this film a 6 out 10 rating

MELTDOWN

This is a jet-li film, which is quite rear for me to watch but this film was dubbed in english, this usually put most people off but if have anyone seen some of jackie Chan's early film will know what it like when a film is dubbed. Anyway this is an excellent film but i was surpised to find out it was 18 rated film but the reason was because of violence with guns in the film but i didn't think it needed a 18 certificate maybe 15 would approate but that just my opion.

The story Kit played Jet-Li has to disarm a bomb on a bus with his wife in the bus, The bad guy is called the doctor tricks him into cutting the wrong wire and the bus explodes. Two years have passed and kit is now a stunt double for a lazy actor and the job going fine until one night he is driving he hears the same voice that tricked him into cutting the wrong wire and realise who he is.

The doctor is planning to steal jewels in the exbit and it is upto kitt to apphend the suspect. you can imagine the rest, i really liked this film because most fight sequence are martal arts and were very funny yet impressive to watch.

I would give this film a 7 out 10 rating martal arts and the an excellent story-line i should got his other film kiss of the dragon, i didn't know what to expect of this film but i really enjoyed it and am glad i watched it.

Three reviews in one day, aren't we lucky.

yeah.....i don't like watching the same sort of film but hey i am on my summer break, last summer i must of watch 35 film during the summer.

i still have two more film review to do but i probably do it tomorrow which is Tomb raider and i am not sure about the other one but it worth reviewing i will otherwise i won't.

TOMB RAIDER

I was quite relculant to watch this film because i thought any film that is to be made into a film must be awful. The purpose of a computer game is to play so how can you turn a computer game into a film. However i was mistaken, i really like this film to my surprise.

Angilna Jolie play Lara Croft plays tomb raider who has lost her father and lives in a mansion and her life is to train for fighting with the help on her robot genious pal. Then the story moves to ancient triangle that give power to maniuplate time and because she the hero she uses it to see her father played Jon Voight but she has to destroy it.

The action seqence were good and what was amazing so that Angelina did her own stunts which i couldn't believe, it seems she train for her part for many months. The special eefect were amazing espically freeze frame techique that was used and she managed to turn the bullet around. The scency was maginficent to see and i have got praise the director for wonderful diffrent places the film was shot.

i might consider watching the second one but i know from past experience that nothing can ever surpass the orginal take The Mummy for example.

i would give this film 7 out 10 rating for the action sequences along with a great story and special effects.

That it from me for the time-being. i have no plans to do any more review but if i do u know where to find it.

MATRIX

The Matrix 1 was really good and original and took me a few viewing to really grasp which I sometimes want a film to do.

The Matrix 2 and 3 were just yawn inducing - yeah the effects were amazing blah blah blah but I just felt really let down by them.

Am I alone on that or ?

i wished i had listen to people about this film mainly because it was a bit dull but certainly watchable, i mean a film about well educated women who become housewives and Juile Roberts tries her best to inspire them to become more then that, obviously this hasn't gone well head teacher and even with attractive list actress ranging from Kirsten Dunst to Julie roberts it doesn't help the film that much, mind u it nice that these actress have moved on from teen comdy there did few years back and i gussing this was a chance for them to show that there can take on serious roles which most did at best average apart from Maggie Gwylenhaal.

i would give this film a 5 out 10 rating.

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE

This is quite an amusing film starring The Rock as Beck, reterval expert and get money owned to his boss, in the opening scence he has to get money from this american footballer who has a gambling problem and wants his ring as insurance he will pay up, He gives two option which by the end of this film will realise that it is the chacter trademark. easy option or hard, obviuosly most people chose the hard option. Beck take out the whole american football team. he get the ring.

His boss give him one more piece of reterval stuff which boss son Travis played bt seam willam scott, he is just a hoot in this film , he certainly crack me so many times espically where he try pee with his handcuffed to his back. obviously this would be short film if we didn't have a bad guy and it comes in a form of Chrisphor Walken who runs mines in country.

i don't give away rest of the plot because then it will ruin the film. it a typical action film but the diffrence there are few comical moment which are done by both Rock and Sean. Rosero Dawson also stars as one of the rebel leader that is trying free her people from mines. This is definatly a film for the guys but any female that like action will sure to have enjoy it. There is some great camera work done with some of the action sequence which i was impressed.

i would give this film 7 out 10 rating because it made me laugh which is quite rear for me.

i'm a big fan of romatic comedy and that is why i rented this movie out. Ben stiller play a risk-assesser who doesn't like taking risk and he's quite good at his job and about marry Rita (Debra Messing from Will & Grace), there go on the honeymoon and this crazy suba-instractor offers them free lession Rita wanted to go but he doesn't so he will check with them later as he does catch them go at it in the boat.

Everyone at his work knows about it and that is because of his mum told his boss played by Alec Baldwin and he told rest of the company. He get back to his normal life until he meet Polly Prince played Jennifer Aniston, she is a free-loving risk-taker and Ben decided to go out with her, unfounatly she takes him to spicy food restrant and he make a mess of it in her toilet.

Despite trying it best to be funny it isn't, it a lovely story with a happy ending but still the only thing that seperates this from rest as Jennifer Aniston, she has an acting quality where you just can't go wrong, there are a few over-acted scences but on the whole what made her stick out wasn't her acting but wardrope person for that film, in practically most of scences she wear bright clothes that make her stand out. note i don't really notice clothes that actress wear but her clothes could be blinding, that why made her stick out in this film.

Blind freret her pet, not since There Something About Mary has Ben Stiller been on-screen with an animals at least it didn't bite him. i am sure he has bad memories from that film. The use animal in film should be keep to minium but this film really stuck to that role.

Despite the film having a good story that has been re-used so many times and it does work i would have to give this film a 5 out 10 rating on the fact that we have seen it many times.

i hope u lot have enjoyed my summer review of latest video releases during last few months but it time for me to stop because i have runned out of money. i will hopefully be back at christmas with some film reviews until then it was been great doing these reviews.

THE GIRL NEXT DOOR

Well i managed to find some extra money because i loved the trailer for this film. Here the review this time it will last unless something great come out like butterfly effect but next month.

If you like american pie you will love this film but for me despite how good the trailer was the film doesn't live upto it in my opinion but It's a great to watch and it definatly enjoyable for young teenagers. The story, this guy is a smart intellent person and about to go to university but he's unhappy because he hasn't done anything reckless until Danelle ( Elisa Cuthbeth, from hit tv-series 24). She a porn star and when he finds out he is hurt but he risked everything to be with here. i don't want to spoil it for those who havn't seen it so this is all i am going to say about story-line for this film.

Elisa Cuthbeth has done a few film when she was younger but this one is first one i have seen of her. Despite the fact i didn't like her chacter of 24 she is a very good actress, i never thought she could pull off being sexy but after watching this film i can say she can. i was seriously impressed with her. i am not sure if she's doing any other film.

it's a very good romatic comdy which i think why it was a hit back in the states not sure whether it will pick up here but i would definatly recommend to lot rent this movie out if there isn't anything great at your video store.

i would give this film a 3 out 5 rating because it definatly amusing to watch plus it had scences which weren't shown in the cinema for those of you, u have already watch it.

Pirates of the Ciribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl

i wasn't of planning on watching this film bur since this film had a lot of hype i thought what the hell and decided to watch it, i wanted a change from adult film so i thought this kid film would be boring, however i was mistaken, i really enjoyed this film mainly because it had old-fashioned story prinecess get kidnapped by pirates and the boy she rescued comes to the rescue.

The biggest surpirse was the fact this was quite a long film which for kids i thought would be too much and i think because it has been ages since there made a pirate film i think there went over the top with this one. The special effect are great but it not mind blowing , once u seen same special effect time and time again during this film it get even more frustrating to watch and noverty wears off.

The biggest surpirse about this film is that it's quite funny which i wouldn't expect from Jonny Dept, mainly because it usally the type of actor that does serious film, it great that he doesn't fail flat on his face on this film, mind u he plays a great drunk. Orlander bloom who i like as an actor, u got lernodo thing going for him when he started. His sword-fighting was brillant. There few surpises which i will not reveal but most of time were quite easily to spot if u were thinking, if not u would probably enjoy it.

i like it when i wrong about films because it shows jusat because it's about pirates doesn't make it a kids film, i am sure adults quite enjoyed this film also but probably won't admit it.

i would give this film 6 out 10 rating, it would of been higher had there not keep on putting the same special effects again, also the film is quite long through enjoyable there were times i just wanted it to end.

Daredevil

i was very relcutant to watch this film but i decided to watch it, there no point in say a film is bad if u havn't watch it so i did and was correct about this film. i never heard of Daredevil before hence was no looking forward to it.

Ben Afflect shouldn't of taken his movie role mainly because it really didn't suit him very well and bad guy doesn't really do anything for me in this film. we knew good guy always win and he did. Bulleye was the most intresting chacter in this film and i can see why people like Colin Farel, he was the only one that was good in this movie.

Jennifer Garner should of sticked to her day-time job in Alias, The only reason why she was in this movie was because there needed a love intrest in the movie, which was so predictable. i wasn't even convinced of love story between these two chacter, hand-to-hand combat was cool to watch but that probably the only highlight in this film. The rain scence was touching but way too sopy for an action film.

So i would give this film a 2 out 5 rating.

The Butterfly Effect

This is an intresting film to watch and certain a film you need to see 2-3 times understand it but i only could watch it once and since i been watching movie since i was a kid it wasn't difficult to understand but the begaining of this film is definatly slow and progressive which mean during first half an hour u will be bored or confused or both. The film does pick up a bit after that and by the end you understand it all. Many people have criticsed this film for some plot holes, if u spot them well it suppose to be a film and enjoyment purposes.

Even is played by Ashton Kudsow a boy who has inherted his father ability to go back in time and change things. It starts of with Even having black-out which doctor can't explain the reason for that is that his futureself is taking over his past self so that he can sort out people lives but any change has consequences on present.

This is definatly one of Ashton tougher role and he does ok at it, He is more suited in comedy roles then action thiller but he does a reasonable job at protraying Even chacter. it certainly dark in some places and definatly quite amusing and thilling to watch because you don't know what going to happend next unless u seen it before.

It's very difficult to enjoy this film if u try to see problems but i definatly enjoy and i would give it a 4 out 5 rating.

Agent Cody Bank 2: Destination London

I really liked the first one but the second one wasn't as good as the first one but it certainly was entertaining. However the story-line wasn't good unfounatly, it was just plain stupid, i know it aimed at kids but even kids would find it story-line i bit boring.

Cody has a new handler by Anthony Anderson, There couldn't keep the first one because of parent anger over the first one. which i think was stupid in my opinion. Hannah from S club 7 playing MI:5 agent who wasn't bad, she was ok in her role, i definatly like her acting, she didn't try to hard and she look quite comfortable in the role.

This time bad guy was a CIA operative that stole mind-control device and it was certain amusing how there first got Cody then Director then Handler.

This wasn't as good as the first but definatly watchable, 4 out 10.
