I thought this film would b just adequate, but actually I liked it! The story is nothing different, but its everything else that I liked. Firstly, none of the actors r famous and yet can act! Secondly, it was like Gladiator - in the way that it's quite powerful. Thirdly, its really artistic in the directing. The only negative I can say is that there is numurous scenes of extreme blood goshing! What did every1 else think about it?
loved it.visually its one of the most astonishing looking films i've ever seen like a real work of art.the violence was justified - it was set in violent times and war is never pretty.gerard butler was excellent, he's been under the radar for a long time but this film has shot him to the a-list and deservedly so!
Basically the story of the battle of Thermopylae, but filmed in a way that is absolutely visually stunning and as far as I’m concerned a cinemagraphic masterpiece; although there was something about it that I found reminiscent of Fellini’s Satyricon, did anyone else feel that?
I loved it; it's shot well, the music's good and i liked that some of the actions scenes were shot in slow motion (but i don't know the actual technical term for this, lol).
