No it's better than 'The Pianist' as it deals with a wider-picture, the best films on this theme tend to be documentaries: 'Shoah' (which S.L. quotes a scene from), 'Night & Fog' and the recent 'Auschwitz' series. There are Polish-films like 'Ashes & Diamonds' which are important too and I guess Pasolini's 'Salo' also qualifies, capturing the perverted idealogy of fascism...
