went to see this last friday night and im ndecided as to whether i can say it was a good film or a bad film. its easy to see that it was made by the same people who made the grudge - its even more jumpy from the very beginning. the whole film is full of suspenseand keeps you jumping right up until about 10 minutes from the end. If you thought jeepers creepers was good up untill the kiler turned into a green monster with wings then you're going to be feeling the saem way about this would be good film. At the end you see this monster and it completely ruins the film, after this point its laughable. luckily enough, and the opposite of jeepers creepers, you dont see it until the end which makes the rest of the film ok. go and see it for yourself to decided but id say overall it was ruined

To say it is made by the makers of the Grudge is a bit much. As far as i am concerned, its the director that determins the quality of the film [his carefull command of the talented creative team]. Stephen T. Kay directed Boogyman and Takashi Shimizu directed The Grudge, a Westernised Remake of his original Eastern film Ju-On. The reason why The Grudge is so effective is because of Takashi Shimizu command of the production team, and his polished direction and visual flare.

I thought it was terrible.

I kind of liked it, I'm a horror junkie though. I'll probably buy it when it's being sold cheap on DVD, just to add to my horror film collection.
