Having only watched the first three for the first time a couple of weeks ago, so needless to say I am no die hard fan of this series.
However, I really enjoyed the first three and though they were great, over the top action but not too silly.
However, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, this was so over the top, too much CGI, totally unreal situations.
Come on hiding in a fridge to escape a nuclear explosion.
Putting this aside, the first hour or so is okay, whilst they are finding the story, intorducing the characters and telling a bit of back story. That's all good, Shia LaBeouf was actually surprisingly good, strong character with his comb and the whole greaser thing.
Although finding out he was Indy's child was also over the top and not really needed, but was predictable and forgivable.
Harrison Ford has aged, but you can forgive this I think, I mean we still believed in Bruce Willis in Die Hard 4.
Ray Winstone's character was slightly weak, he didn't really add anything or take aything away from the story.
Karen Allen bringing back her character of MMarion Ravenwood, was again not needed we could just have had Shia and be done with it.
John Hurt's character is probably the best in the film, he plays a professor that has gone mad after looking into the eyes of the Crystal Skull. Really good character.
After the introduction of the film and characters, they blow everything out of the water.
ALIENS! Jesus, who's idea was this, there is no need, whatever Spielberg and Lucas were thinking when they decided on aliens, they should be shot.
Not only did they have aliens with psychic powers, they had a bloody SpaceShip! A spaceship in Indianna Jones, can you think of anything more ridiculous.
Cate Blanchett and her ridiculous Russian accent also left much to be desired!
Needless to say I did not enjoy this film, and I think it has let down the series of Indiana Jones. So as well as ruining the Star Wars series, Lucas and Speilberg have now spoiled this series too.
