I really enjoyed this film- didn't really know what to expect but it's very powerful.

It manages to give a message without patronising the audience.

Definitely recommended.

I think Crash is one of the most powerful movies I have ever seen, I have never been so overcome with raw emotion. I think this movie really needs to be shown in schools as it got it's point across without ever making anyone the bad guy and honestly letting people know that nobody is immune from predjudice.

This film was definately worth watching -8/10.

It provides all sides of the human groups. No group is always in the dog house or in the white house.

It can be a force for good!

I watched it tonight and I thought it was excellent. Very thought provoking and I apologise for the cliche but it illustrated that things are definitely not always as black and white as they seem.

Was a bit soapy, did the policeman with the attitude have a point about clumsy "positive" discrimination policies and their costs/benefits?

I've always thought that John Lennon 'Bag' that cuts out people's race age and gender at job interviews a good idea myself, I remember him and Yoko demonstrating it on the Parkinson show by putting Parky' in this black cotton bag, poor old Parkinson, he didn't have the character to ask Lennon to take the bag off and stayed in it for almost ten minutes of the interview! Big Grin

I thought matt dillon was impressive as the morally ambiguous cop, although I thought the feel good ending let the film down as it simplified all the issues

I thought this film was really great, especially the thing about the protective cloak thing, thought it was quite clever.

I thought it was a very good film, but it's a rather bleak assessment of the society in which we live. Paranoia is rife, I thank God that we don't have gun culture in the UK like they have in America.

The scene involving Thandie Newton and Matt Dillon was so effective and awesome i had to watch it several times! The film was overall a great one but that scene alone was worth it!

I enjoyed this film and the issues it raised certainly provoke some soul searching, however I couldn't help get a tiny bit bored ... I felt myself hoping it wasn't going to be another Magnolia with endless storylines where characters are co-incidently in each other's lives to no real effect...

Good post. I liked the film, but it was overly melodramatic in parts. The hate for this film is unjustified. It's a good fable.

I thought it was more ambiguous than a fable,
there were no clear cut good or bad guys, just
people. At times, however, I thought that it
was shot like an advertisment or a pop-video
with lots of the same visual cliches you find in adverts.

watched this last week and i thought it was excellent, really thought provoking. it shows racism and prejudice from all angles and really makes you think about your own life. definitely one to watch, an oscar well deserved.
