I recently saw this Film on DVD and I couldn't get over how good the acting was. It was subtle, amusing and gave a full frontal message on family views and the importance of caring for one another.
It showed your less than typical American family which all led different routes in their lives, from Uncle Frank (Carroll) who was a disturbed American scholar to Olive who wanted to be a Beauty Queen. I won't give to much away but it this is a film that is worth checking out. It's subtley hilarious and as I said the acting is top notch with a great cast and simple plot that doesn't lose interest.
8/10.
A Little Hard Work never killed anyone....but why take the chance?

Yes! They aren't exactly a typical family are they? But I love the family dancing on the stage, Miss California looked like she enjoyed it a lot!
