What do you think of this movie if you have seen it?
I thought it was wonderful and well beyond my expectations. Ryan Gosling had a sexy, youthful screen presence playing a lovelorn Noah Calhoun trying (and succeeding) to win the heart of Allie Hamilton, played stunningly by the beautiful and talented Rachel McAdams. Together they created magic and had so much chemistry, playing passionate scenes to the point where the story seemed real beyond belief (not surprisingly in real life they are now engaged!) Furthermore James Garner and Gena Reynolds are equally as delightful to watch, very believable and by the movie's end, as you will remember I'm sure, so heartbreaking playing their parts.
Of all the love stories I have seen, particularly ones transcribed from book to film, The Notebook is in my opinion the best there has ever been. Before seeing this "A Walk To Remember" was my favourite, but for me, "The Notebook" has succeeded that and I really understand now what all the hype about the movie was.
Who agrees? Or disagrees and why? Who was your favourite character/actor? What was your favourite scene and quote?
