This month the bookies’ favourites for the main debates on The TV Show (Saturday 1 March) are property programmes and 'shockdocs'.

- Do you think property shows have contributed to the housing boom? Is it irresponsible to keep showing them as the market stagnates and the threat of repossession rears its ugly head?
- There’s been a surge in programmes about people with unusual bodies and ailments. Do you consider them educational or irresponsible?

I rarely bother on here anymore because of that, so it would be good to get an explanation - why DO so many perfectly polite, positive and well-mannered posts get zapped???

That's precisely what irritates! We do know the rules. What frustrates and exasperates is when the most innocent of words, comments and discussions disappear. If you want plenty of pertinent discussions of TV programmes, let people contribute - don't just paste the well-known rules and regulations as if we're all five years old!

A propos C4's output: it would be good to see a morning schedule that really dared to be coherent. This is not a criticism of C4 alone - most channels don't seem to know what they're doing, or for whom they're doing it, between 9am and noon. C4, in particular, seems torn between a reliance on repeated sitcoms (Frasier, Friends, Will & Grace) and a more earnest educational programmes (e.g Power to the People). Personally, I'd like more live shows dealing with topical issues (not ghastly Trish/Kyle chav spats, but grown-up magazine-style formats) and generally programming that makes the channel seem awake in the morning rather than on automatic pilot.

I think there's also a place for a weekly late-night review programme - get, for example, four TV critics to sit around a table and discuss the week's output. No need for an audience, or Russell Brand, Jamie Carr or Alan Carr (honestly - life can go on without these three post-pub tittergeists). Just a 30/40 minute constructive discussion by well-informed adults. A kind of televisual conscience.

It would also be nice if we could correct the odd typo instead of getting - mere seconds after the original post - this 'Oops!' message:
