If you spot any interesting forum discussions about Channel 4 programmes, while you’re on your travels, please let us know.
Mostly we’re looking for threads that give a good insight into what viewers think about C4 shows – positive and negative – but also broader topics that drum up a lot of excitement in terms of posts and/or page views.
Why? First we’re trialling a new feature on The TV Show website. Check out the latest one here: Forum Buzz, which gives viewers a barometer of forum reaction to C4 programmes – if people like it and comment on it we’ll make it regular. Second we’ll feed back the information into C4 and to the programme makers at The TV Show.
We get a lot of tip-offs from the C4 Mods, who are great, but they’re not omnipotent, so we’d appreciate a few nominations (and opinions) from you too.
And hopefully we won’t get too many people plugging their dead-end threads.
Have a quick look at Big Brother General re: Re-borns shown last night on CH4.

does anyone agree with me that those woman on Reborns last night had something wrong with them ? i think the babies were lovely but it was creepy EG the lady going to the states said about the outfit she had bought her ( bABY ) to travel home in " i dont think it will be too warm for her on the flight " . I rest my case.
Officer Crabtree – how uncanny that you picked on Big Brother. You must be psychic.
Lemon drop kid – thanks for the tip on the Re-borns thread.
I’ve just heard that the bookie's favourites – nothing's certain until a few days before – for the main debate on The TV Show next Saturday (12th Jan) are Big Brother and ShockDocs. On the latter we were thinking more about programmes like Half Ton Mum, but it’s open to interpretation.
The makers of the TV show would love to hear your thoughts on both – maybe you’ll get to air them on the show live or by sending in a video clip. There’s a bit more info on The TV Show site.
Watched Half Ton Mum and thought it really sad that the lady passed away. She really was quite a brave young woman. I do still find it hard to understand how people get so large but it was certainly an eye opener, I am about 4 stones overweight and not happy with that but my weight has been stable for a couple of years. those people who are so vastly overweight must have many, many issues in their lives. It is amazing that most of the surgeons were unwilling to help when she so desperately needed it and had shown she wanted to help herself. It was like they were written off once they had reached a certain point, everyone who wants help and asks for help should be given the chance. Against my better judgement I have watched the first installment of BB Celebrity hijack, and to be honest Matt Lucas had me roaring with laughter. I felt so sorry for John but he was a real trooper. My son however thought that it was like bullying. On reflection I can see what he meant, anonymous bully controlling the other person and laughing at his embarassment. It made me feel a little ashamed of myself as I have had experience of bullying, though it was playground stuff not the adult version. I understand that these are intelligent people (for a change), who have gone into the BB house with open eyes, who know that it is an environment that is very testing which can expose their weaknesses very very publically but BB at times does stand for Big Bully picking up on those weaknesses and breaking down the spirit and morale of the contestants for entertainment purposes. Hmm, will watch with a little more interest the antics of the "Big Brothers", perhaps it exposes the "BB's" weaknesses more than those of the contestants, what do you think?

Think I may be alone on this thread but anyway. Take a look at Food General and HFW at River Cottage, CH4 is running a new series, the Great Food Fight, the first one being HFW's Chicken Run which commenced last night and runs tonight and tomorrow. Much as I like HFW I believe he is onto a loser this time. I admire his motives and agree with raising the attention of the Great BP to the way chickens are farmed and treat in this country, but as long as there are people on low incomes who wish to feed their families traditional style meals (ie home cooked meat and 2 veg etc) the 2 for a fiver chicken will remain with us. Perhaps we should be encouraging these families, not making them feel inadequate for buying cheap meat. The messages do get through to them and most of them are trying, (I know many people on very low incomes). Perhaps more programmes guiding them and those better off families on how to make more out of less in a healthy fashion would be more appropriate. We should applaud those families providing home cooked meals and sitting round the table to eat them rather than opting for pre-packed, pre-cooked processed "junk" food. Yes the messages get through but we need to be shown how to achieve the dream, don't tell people that they shouldn't do this and that and then not provide the solutions as to how they should do it, it really isn't fair. Rant over.

Lemon drop kid, you are not alone. You are doing a great job, so keep notifying us to these threads. If possible, please could you also include a link, so we can just click though?
Thanks also for these excellently-made opinions. May I suggest that you also post them on The TV Show website, you may get a wider audience (and your views are more likely to be seen by the programme makers over there). If you’ve not done so before, you will need to register with Channel 4 (C4 websites are different to forums… don’t ask why) the first time round.
You should also get in touch with the folks that make The TV Show. They’ll be interested in talking to you about Half Ton Mum, BBCH and the Great Food Fight. I’ve just heard a rumour the TV & food is also being considered as a contender for the main debate, so your timing’s great.
Email them on thetvshow@channel4.com if you’re interested in talking to them. If you’re based close to London, there’s a chance that you could come along and take part in the show live on Saturday (12th). Tell them I send you.
Officer Crabtree, Jamiekins, you should get in touch too.
I'm told that if you can't make it to the show you could always record a video clip (or sound clip if you're shy) of your comment - on your camera, phone, and email it in.
The main debates for Saturday's show (12 Jan at 4.15pm) are now expected to be: A) The Big Food Fight; B) BB Celebrity Hijack; but continue to send in your opinions on other programmes.
To find out more about the line up for Saturday's The TV Show (12 Jan) and to find out how you can contribute to the debates, see The TV Show website.
I post, or try to mostly on the Richard and Judy site. I wold love to know who moderates this as they seem to zap stuff for no reason and then let stuff go that I am surprised they allow. It's not a very exacrt science is it? It has all but killed off that site, forum wise, but maybe that's the plan, to clear us all out before R&J take their leave. I would so appreaciate an explanation as to the seemingly incomprehensible censorship on that forum.

Perhaps unsurprising that your question still hangs unanswered in the air......
