Hi Big Brother, ageism seems to be ruling this year. No contestants over 43? Why?

Hi.

I keep hearing this "Big Brother is a game show and that's what we are going back to this series", which is fantastic and what I want to see. And although I am enjoying BB9 so far, it is better than BB8, I still don't see the game element.

I personally think you should encourage game play, let the housemates discuss nominations and perhaps adapt a version of the Head of Household task from BBUSA. Then something would always be happening and people couldn't complain it was boring.

I'm hoping after this first week nomination twist, the a new format is put in place that will stay consistent throughout the series and will encourage these housemates to get their thinking caps on and play the game.

Hello
there was no deliberate policy of excluding people over 43 - it just so happened that these final housemates were the best!

It wasn't made very clear in the TV show where the webchat would take place.

Assuming I have the right place, I would like to ask why the age gap between Mario and his fake girlfriend is so wide ?

Why choose her, why not someone closer to Mario's own age ?

He is old enough to be her Dad.

It gives me the creeps.

talk to him?

i'd like to take my now useless broadband cable and tie it round his neck then get the wifi ariel and stick it in an oriface that was never intended to to contain it Wink

i watched bb1-7 in their entirety online and the tv shows
i watched bb8 for 1 week then from when charley was evicted online and with the tv shows
bb9? launch show and thats it.

i have red button access on 3 tv's but with 8 in our household and only 2 bb fans there is no way i would be able to watch bb uninterupted whenever i wished, the only way to do that is online, i dont condone piracy so i'm not buying one of the many red button net feeds so for me there is no point in attempting to enjoy big brother based on a ultra biased hilights show and 2 support shows that would look amateur on the most obscure digital channel presented by 2 characters each most of whom aparently is only slightly less wooden than a tree, but no doubt they and their "guests" will get paid what should have been spent on the live feed.

lets face it, looking at the overnights this years bb had the worst start and the satellite shows havent managed 350,000 viewers which for a show that used to capture a third of the entire viewing public has to tell you how much we all mistrust the tv programs and rely on the net stream for our reality and the tv shows for the pantomime.

i wonder how it feels to be the exec that made the decision to make the uk the laughing stock of the bb world and the only eu country with no live feed, that realy shows how backwards channel 4 are being about this.

whatever they have said so far have been outright lies,
1) not enough people, lies, last year tesco and vm had it for free.
2) new website cant handle it,lies, get someone who can add it, should take no more than an hour even less if you dont force us to use your player.
3) budget cuts, lies, so how are you paying for the internet radio show we didnt want, or the guests to push your bias that we didnt want, or 2 presenters on each satellite show all of whom are crap?
4) we are doing what users asked for, lies, we didnt ask for the crap we are getting we asked for a decent big brother free of wanabees, realistic highlights shows, a stop to the constant messing around with nominations, equal punishments and a live feed that had more than 5 mins of speach before an hour of birdsong, we knew it wasnt for legal reasons, just to save stuff in case it was wanted for the hilights.

so come on bb give us what we realy want.

Big brother please, Paula was not alone in her views when she phoned.

I want to watch the internet stream so i can decide for myself wether i like a housemate or wether i want to vote to evict a housemate, i want the right to form my own opions on housemates other than edited highlights shows.

Please give us fans the internet option back!

Oh wow, you actually remember me. Big Grin

I'm excited to hear you have plans and I just hope it is a proper format change, as I believe that is what the show needs. Twists can be fun, but I think if there is too many twists it can become tedious, whereas a brand new format change that stays consistent for the entire run will be fantastic.

Can we expect more endurance style tasks this year?

The idea was really about making the whole task as difficult as possible for those taking part.

Hey big brother.
I am not quite understanding the point of why all the live streaming has been taken off.
On The TV Show, it was said, the live streaming on the net, was taken off because it could have been invested somewhere else, such as more clips on the website.
Are there no plans to put it back?
Plus, that does not explain as to why there isn't much live streaming on the freeview boxes or BT vision etc.. and only on Sky and Virgin media.
Could you please explain that too?

Oooh! The time is coming. BB9 is nearly here! -

I would much rather have my online streaming then any of the other nonsense on the website. Please listen to us, willing to pay, just bring it back or viewers will be lost.

I have just watched the show and was upset to hear that they are still not going to have live streaming on the net, stating that people watch the clips and that it can be viewed on sky/virgin, that may be so but not everyone can afford to have satellite tv plus there are other members of BB fans families that want to watch other shows, is it not possible for C4 to reconsider and let us have the live streaming back pretty pretty please

Hello
Obviously alot of people are annoyed at the lack of live feed this year so please be assured that we are noting your comments and I will discuss this issue with the people at Channel 4.

Guys I know it's annoying that there is no online streaming, but there isn't going to be one and you are not going to get any different answers to what have already been given. Sorry to say.

Will the public vote be Vote To Save this year? As it says on the official website "Who Stays? You Decide" as opposed to the usual "Who Goes?".

And to do that you had to pick a girl young enough to be his daughter ?

Don't you have any morals ?

You people are sick.

As I said before it was all about making it as implausible as possible. We would never force housemates to do anything that they weren't comfortable with.
