Want to get the inside information on which shows could make it BIG on Channel 4 next year?! The TV Show can help!
This week, Jeff Ford (director of acquisitions for Channel 4 and Film4) is over in the US for the annual NY Upfronts and LA Screenings. He'll be wining and dining with the industry's finest and hoping to unearth the next big American hit shows.
Last year, Jeff's US mission brought us Reaper and Dirty Sexy Money... What will he bring home to Channel 4 this time around??
Armed with his Blackberry and a wireless connection, Jeff will be keeping The TV Show posted on his American adventures.
Stay tuned to his blog for some first-hand celebrity gossip and, fingers crossed, some hints on what we can expect to see lighting up our small screens in 2009.
How about some British rubbish? Personally I'm sure you could find almost as dire English stuff as some of the American

JJ Abrams' new show: Fringe. Channel 4 showed lost, another of his genius creations and it did well till sky got it so i think his new show would be a good add to the schedule

Im really suprised channel 4 didnt do more to keep lost, it still gets over a million viewers and thats on sky one, im sure that would incrase hugely on channel 4. Also why not try n get shows like greys anatomy? no one watches channel 5 steal it from them...
Russell Brand & Mitchell n Webb = Comedy Gold ** Lost Fan **
They missed the boat on Dexter, which I would regard as much more of a Channel 4 or channel Five show rather than an ITV show. "Big Bang" is a one joke show, which looks more suited to channel Five, a poor substitute to "the IT Crowd" which rumours are will be dropped. "Mad Men" would have also been a good quality addition.
Channel 4 seems to be bogged down with quirky female-orientated comedies.
Surely it's time now to reduce the numbers of Friends repeats?
Big Bang Theory is a must, pretty much the funniest thing on tv at the moment. C4 hasn't had a Sci Fi series since losing Lost so you could pick up the next series of Heroes, hopefully showing it a lot closer to the US screening time so I dont have to spend months avoiding spoilers.
