No programme comes close to challenging Deal Or No Deal as Channel 4's worst programme. From going to greater lengths than any other programme, day in, day out, to try to con viewers by pretending it's live, to fundamental flaws with the game itself, which can be ruined as a spectacle by players dealing early, to the mindless antics of the contestants and audience, whose behaviour would shame that of a bunch of jibbering monkeys, to taking ages, after being warned by OFCOM, to come clean about the phone-in scam, to the so-called independent adjudicator knowing the amounts that are contained in every box, leaving the possibility for all sorts of wrongdoing, it isn't surprising that it was the second most complained about C4 programme in March.
If you think the UK version is bad you should (or shouldn't) see the French version. It is stretched out for an entire, agonisingly boring, evening. The positive thing is that you switch the TV off and go and do something useful / more interesting...

However bad you think it is, I almost guarantee it's even worse than you think. I know it's a few minutes you'll never get back, but just have a brief look at it. You'll be amazed that C4 considers such mindless garbage fit to be broadcast.

I'm horrified, Tom France. Stretching out a 10 minute game to 45 minutes is mind-numbingly boring enough, but a whole evening???!!! So much for French sophistication
I'm the same ^^ I'll watch it if i'm channel hopping....but I mostly flick back to it when it's closer to the end. It needs to be cut to 30 mins, at least.

Lots of people like soaps and reality shows, but that doesn't make them good programmes. I just hope Tom France's revelations don't give Channel 4 any ideas.
