Karen was too dismissive of Tom's allergies but at the same time, Lynette should've been a bit more accommodating with Ida, especially seeing as Ida is a genuine friend to Karen and Lynette does tend to take advantage of her.
Actually I was kind of bothered by Karen acting like the relationship was one sided and Lynette was a user. That's simply not the case at all. Lynette drops her kids off, sure-but Karen is a paid babysitter. It's not like she watches them out of the goodness of her heart. Lynette and Tom compensated her and she needed the money when she lost the pension. Lynette deserves more credit. Lynette was the first adult to reach out to Karen after her arrest when the rest of the street shunned her. She has taken Karen to numerous doctor apointments and drove her around to take care of her errands when Karen was ill.

I'm sorry if my above post seems a bit harsh. I just feel that Lynette and Karen's relationship is based on give and take-certaintly not all Lynette taking advantage of her.
