Simple answer - no, they survived.
The episode itself well Bree and Susan as roomies is a fun concept - she who burns/under cooks food vs. she who serves cuisine for dinner. The writer clearly wanted to milk so laughs. However some issues with that would be.
- Bree banning Susan/Julie to upstairs so she could have a dinner party. That's rude.
- Bree pimping Andrew out to Walter. Just sleazy. Andrew playing along made it worse. I know what I would've told my mother if she tried to do that to me.
- Susan's insistence on Bree staying. Understandable but Susan needs to learn to be a bit self reliant. Still I liked that scene at the end with her and Bree.
- Julie having zip all to do was annoying. I want more Julie.
Lynette - nice build up but I knew the writers wouldn't have the stones to kill Tom or any of the kids. Lynette's suffered enough for this season. That would've been overkill. I did like ...
- Lynette and Karen. I'd watch a season of just these two.
- Scattering Ida's ashes. Really sweet. Ida's "sacrifice" hit home for Lynette.
- Lynette dealing with Ida's relative. What a bunch of jerks.
Edie didn't do much. I appreciated her being kept away from the Gablos plot. She worked better when helping with the wreckage at the end.
- Bree threatening Edie was interesting but justified.
- That being said, Edie wasn't deliberately being horrible. She made valid points that no-one else wanted to deal with.
As for Gabby and Carlos, it was not a highlight of the episode seeing them but they're fine.
- Gabby's poor. Um, just desserts? I'm glad Victor left her nothing. He might have been a bad person but so was she.
- Carlos going blind. Could help redeem Gabrielle if the writers are clever.
As for Bob and Lee, give them more do please.
Katherine and Adam broke up. Okay but I'm more interested in what was in that letter because both Adam and Dylan reacted with horror and disgust. What did Katherine do? 9/10.
