Everyone seems to think the break is to do ith BB (as did I) but I noticed that BB was on thursdays, not wednesdays which confused me.

This email I got from C4 should answer any Qs. (I do realise i already posted this in another thread!)

Unfortunately when the American Writers Strike caused a stop in productionwe were unable to run some of our popular American series in the slots wehad originally planned for them.
Although this strike has now finished and most of the American programmes have completed filming we are currently unable to make space for them in our Summer schedule as these schedules are arranged months in advance and otherprogrammes have been given the prime time slots that shows such as DESPERATEHOUSEWIVES and UGLY BETTY would usually occupy.

Please be assured that your complaint has been logged and distributedthroughout Channel 4.

So yeh but apparently well get the start of season 5 this year too!
