I bought Joey Series One last night, I managed to miss most of them when they were on Five. Have watched the first 11 episodes and I think it is brilliant. The problem with it is that everyone thought it would be as funny as Friends (which granted its not) but if you take it on it's own merit, its fantastic!!

My thoughts as well. I thought it would be disappointing...how wrong was I. having watched the whole series I think it's brilliant!
i onli watched the1st couple of episodes n to me those episodes were like a one man friends episode - like he goes on holiday or somethink and because there wasnt that chemistry between hte characters on set coz matt le blanc was so used 2 working with the others it just didnt seem right - there was just sumfink bout it i didnt like

You're right that the first couple of episodes seemed a bit odd, probably because of the chemistry thing as you say. I stuck it out to the end of the series and I think by the end of series 1 there is chemistry and the characters seem to gel together better. I'm not suggesting that it's as good as "Friends" but it definatley improves the more you watch it.
