I was just watching The Last One and, Monica and Chandler call their new babies Jack -after Monica and Ross' dad- and Erica after the surrogate. Well in the Jewish religion we don't believe in naming a new baby after a living relative. What i'm saying is, he whole way through the Friendsstorylines Monica and Ross are Jewish so this bit doen't really make sense lol.

I thought Ross and Monica were Christians because they celebrated Christmas but not Passover. Also, Ross got married in an English church for his third wedding; Monica and Chandler got married by Joey-the-Priest. LOL. Stuff like that made me think they were Christians.

I think it was Monica's dad that is Jewish, but her mum is a Christian.

I'm not sure if they were christians but Ross dressed up as the Holiday Armadillo to try and teach Ben about chanukkah/hanukkah so that he knew of his Jewish roots... now who's taking it seriously!

And in Phoebe's festive song it said
'Monica, Monica have a happy hanukah'(can't spell it)

maybe ross and monica aren't strict jews like maybe they r just half jewish or summat

They were meant to be Jewish! Remember when Chandler and Monica pretend to be a doctor and Reverend to get Erica's baby, well when they decide to tell her the truth, Monica says, "Why couldn't I have been a Reverend?" and Chandler replies, "You're Jewish."!!

Ok, i am jewish so ill clear this all up 4 u all. Ross and Monica are secular jews....they keep some things but not reli - like we saw Monica light the chanukah candles but they eat pork and shell fish which your not supposed 2 eat. Being Jewish is passed down through the mother - therefore Jack and Erica are Jewish but because Monica isn't religious they didnt mind who they were named after. Ben is only half jewish because Carol isn't but Ross is...techinically he isnt jewish at all but he does have something in him that makes him Jewish.
