Has anyone ever noticed the mistake with ross's birthday? In the one where gunther asks rachel when her birthday is and ross goes to give him his too, he says 'december....' before gunther cuts him off. Then in TOW Emma cries, when joey is filling the form in for ross at the hospital, he says his birthday is october 18th. Has anyone else noticed any other mistakes? A sure sign of watching too many episodes!!

yeah, I already pointed it out on another thread that ross has like three different birthdays. those two, and in one of the series one episodes, it's apparently months away from october 20th.

When Rachel decides to go to london to tell ross she loves him she's wearing trousers and a brown top. The camera cuts between her and phoebe as pheebs tries to stop her going - sometimes when it goes back to show rachel shes wearing a brown cardigan over her shoulders and other times she has it flung over her suitcase

I am sure that if I was willing to watch more i could find hundreds of mistakes, its sloppy writing.

on the last one, chandler's wearing two hspital band things on both his wrist and when the camera looks back at him he's only got one on

in TOW Chandler In A Box u see the bit where Chandler goes "Air Hole Air Hole!" before Ross puts his hand over it u can see him feeling 4 da hole

theres one which i should think has been put up loads of times before, but in TOW princess consuella when Phoebe tells mike hse has changed her name, his scarf is done up, then the camera switches away and then back again and it is loose./ Then done up, looses etc.

Another - in one of the first episodes when ross finds out carol is a lesbian and him and pheebs almost do it on the snooker table, see see him put the two balls in place, ready for his line 'these stupid balls keep getting in the way'

I know, its bad isn't it. You would have thought they would want to make their programme as good as they can.

The producers probably assume that their viewers are so dim witted that they can get away with just about anything.

Yeah, dont get me wrong i love the programme - but towards the later series there are quite a few moments when u can see they are stifling a laugh. Like in the one when monica jumps on the couch screaming 'rat baby, rat baby!' she turns round and she's half smiling when she's supposed to be petrified!

Wow, i hadn't noticed most of them. I noticed Ross's birthday one. Tbh though i don't think it really matters, it's a sit-com, it's more about the story and the lines rather than making sure everything is correct.

Considering the money the actors get paid for each episode, I would expect them to do a better job. I'm sure I could hold back a smile if I was being paid £xxx million to do it.

i would of thought most of the mistakes are editing and writing mistakes. nothing to do with the actors.

agreed! truthfully I never notice mistakes, am too busy enjoying the show

I think its when uve watched an episode soooo many times that u owe it off by heart that u start looking at the smaller things and noticing daft stuff like that. u must get them in all programmes - no one's perfect!

I started this thread and no, i'm not having a discussion at how bad the show is. I just wondered if anyone else had seen any other mistakes like the one where they keep getting ross's birthday wrong. I dont think thats saying its a bad show at all - its my favourite show in the world! just makes it interesting to hear what others have noticed

I noticed last night watching the episode where it's Emily's fake-suprise-bon voyage party and Rachel makes a show of herself dressed as a cheerleader that her sleeve kept changing everytime the camera moved. In half the shots its rolled up really high (she's just tried to pull her bra out from underneath it)and the other half its down like normal. Boring but true

i watched all the episodes loads but i still dont notice anything im going 2 start looking at the little things now

you know the one in series 3, where janis asks them if they've ever slept together and they say no, but they almost have and then it goes back in time, i can't remember what its called but anyway... its supposed to be a year before series one and ross tells pheobe carol is a lesbian and shes told him, but in the pilot, he has only just moved his stuff out, it doesn't make sense!!
