Has anyone any idea? if the confidentality laws are differnt in america? the friends episode the one where chandler takes a bath, ross gets access to rachael medical records, he finds out she is having a girl. does anyone know ?

Probably as he is the father and they attend the sessions at the hospital together, he is allowed the information that she is having a girl. Any more information would probably not be given over the phone.

I wouldn't of thought that they would be allowed to tell as they're not married.

yes that's what I thought the marriage thing, there arent married, and even if they where I don't think this would entitle him to that information.

i would say its cas hes the father and in america its all private and you have to pay for everything yourself so this could have something to do with it.

if you remember they were in the hospital and the doctor had it in her book and she could of easily told them and they knew it was there , so Ross had jus sneaked a look afterwards or something.

im sure the doctors could tell ross an not rachel as ive seen it on other programmes
