Dont get me wrong, Chandler as a character has some funny lines, but mostly I find him irritating. His comedy is more old fashioned in the sense that he has a pun at the end of each line. It just seems a bit too...showy?

Hes definitely a comedic character but in comparision with the others...I just dont find him that funny! I just looked at the "Favourite characters" thread and saw the lowest scoring are Monica and Ross- the two that are actually my favourites! Maybe Im counteracting the majority...but they really are the two that have me laughing out loud the most!

Anybody else struggling to find why Chandler is favourite to the majority of Friends fans?

I respect everyone's opinion, to be honest I think Friends is quite a good all-rounder show, the six characters are all different enough that the majority of people that watch it should find a favourite. I do find it bizarre that Chandler does seem to be a clear favourite, but I suppose there has to be one that's liked more than the rest of them. My personal favourite is Ross.

Its personal preference chandler is my fave cos i can relate to him with the sarcasm and finding yourself funny when no one else does (i'm sad ain't i lol) plus he is soooo cute but i understand not everyone feels this way i would say monica is a close second.

i think they are all really funny, they bounce off each other. i can't choose a favourite since it takes all of them to make it funny in the way it is, it wouldn't be the same without any one of them.

I understand Chandlers attraction, he is a pretty funny character. In the last few series Ross kinda pips it for m, he literally made me cry with laughter at times, but them i love Monica too, and Joey. Ahhh i love them all, i cant choose. Haha they all amuse me lol x

I love Chandler he is definately my favourite character. I like all the characters but I think that Monica is too much of a clean freak, Phoboe is a little too weird, Rachel is too self obsessed, Ross is too much of a geek and tries too hard and I like Joey is nice but dim.
I think Chandler is possibly the most normal, either that or I see a bit of myself in him that's why I like him.

That is why they have 6 different characters as well, so people can relate to the characters and that is normally their favourite.
