Nah, it doesn't mean its a sale item. Off the rack literally means a piece of clothing you pick up "off the rack" in a shop. In clothes shops there is a rack (like a metal "arm") with a load of the tops/skirts whatever on coat hangers, hung on the rack.

Because off the rack clothes are mass produced they are cheaper, so when monica says she might have to have an off the rack wedding dress (I think thats what happened) it means a cheaper one as opposed to a dress thats been fitted and made for her.

There was me thinking it was something sleazy.

The reason for the audience reaction when Monica said: 'I saw him waiting for an elevator' was:

This was during the time when Chandler and Monica were still hiding their relationship from the rest of the gang. They were pretending to be taking two separate business trips on the same weekend, when in actual fact they were having a clandestine dirty weekend together.

Chandler had already told Joey he'd seen Donald Trump on HIS weekend. Monica effectively let the cat out of the bag by also saying that SHE had seen Donald Trump on HER weekend.

Therefore giving the game away that her and Chandler had been together at the weekend.

You see Joey's face as the penny drops- if I remember correctly.

If I remember rightly, I think the penny actually drops when Monica asks Rachel for her eyelash curler as she had lost hers.
Before hand Joey had a phone call from the hotel Chandler was staying at, where the manager told him an eyelash curler was left behind.

Yeah that was why i was slightly confused why the audience reacted the way they did. I understood the bit you just said Fairylight7 but i thought there was more of a meanin to who Donald Trump was cos Joey didnt react to it at all..

He did react in a kind of "huh!" way, you know thinking it was weird but perhaps a funny coincidence. He reacted more to the eyelash curler because it finally put two and two together for Joey.

Yeah lol..

is there any other jokes that people dnt get that they have said and no1 has answered?

i have one but it might have already been asked, sorry if it has but i cant be bothered lookin through 21 pages!in TOW a chick and a duck, joey's just got the baby chick and he picks it up and kinda baby talks to it(he says something like "cutey wutey mooty booty" etc....wel maybe not exactly that but anyway!) and chandler says "easy lenny". i dont get it!
