Yea, but when Rachel said she liked the name, they said "We'll have a little baby Ruth" then looked at each other and went "veto." I'm not sure why the "baby Ruth" thing was funny.

Also have another one, when Monica hurts Rachel and Ross is helping her get ready and does her make-up, he licks the make-up brush.
I didn't get why that was meant to be funny.

I think that Ross n Rach both liked the name Ruth, but when they imagined having their little baby called that, it didnt sound as nice. The imagined themselves looking at the baby n saying "little baby Ruth" n it didnt sound nice, so they decided against that name.

oh n the thing with Ross n the makeup - I found it funny! i dunno why the hell he licked the brush (to be fair tho, guys shouldnt really know how to put on makeup or use the brushes!!) but it had obviously been used before, so it still would have had makeup on it - n it tasted mingin!

that was funny just because of his reaction to the make up on the brush, like he didnt expect it to be there or something

one of the ones i didnt get which is obv but i still dont no what they are actually saying about him is the one where the girls are doin the valentines fire thing in the flat- and they see the picture of monicas old bf and say heres 'blah blah naked' then rachel says oh no wait hes wearing a sweater, and mon goes no and then they all go eeeewwww- is this cos hes really hairy or what??- me being dum i no but hey o well!

yeah i figured it was because he was really hairy too, i think thats what it was supposed to be

It is, because later on the fireman says "This guy's hairier than the chief" or something.

Actually, a Baby Ruth is a kind of candy bar named for Babe Ruth, a legendary baseball player.

I don't know if someone already answered this one, but it's actually referring to an expression that goes "between a rock and a hard place." If someone is "between a rock and a hard place," that means they really can't win - any way they go will result in disaster.

They are often used in celtic design jewlery but they include the celt culture too so arent true triskets but are the same kind of thing! the get the idea!
