Just a little bit confused about something i have never been able to figure out. when rachael is looking for a palce to stay, pheobe mentions her room mate denise. is she actually real or is pheobe jsut being pheobe??

i always thought she was real but when i read an FAQ about friends someone asked that question and the friends producers stated that she was in fact made up.
u no i was wondering about her 2 - i didnt get she made it up either...but i was wondering what she would say if she came back on December 26th 2 find her room burnt down!!!
I always thought that Denise was an imaginary friend Phoebe made up after her grandma died, like to fill the void. I can be wrong about that!
