Hi.

I watched Episode 1 of Reaper, streaming it to my PC. After that, all other streams stopped working.

When the programme is about to start playing, I get the following window.
------------------------------
Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has ocurred on this page.

Line 307
Char 2
Code 0

URL: http://vodapp.grid.channel4.com/c4site-web/c4player.do?programme=1410680
------------------------------
Then I get a error window display, showing the following;
---------------------
License Aquisition

You need to use the 4od player to watch this programme.
Please launch 4od from your computer or if you have not downloaded the player visit www.channel4.com/4od
------------------------
Any help would be appreciated, it is driving me nuts.

Many thanks.

Check that your Computer's date and time are correct, if there is a large time mismatch a license can't be issued.

When an error like this occurs please try refreshing the page you are getting the error on by pressing F5 on your keyboard.

If you still experience problems please enable scripts in Internet Explorer settings:

1. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools >
Internet Options
2. Click the Security Tab
3. Click the Internet icon
4. Click "Custom Level…"
5. In the "Security Settings" window which pops up, scroll down to "Scripting" and ensure there is a checkmark next to "Enable" under Active Scripting

Your Microsoft Script may need updating(if you are using Windows XP). You can do this by clicking the link below and installing the update:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyI...44d81&DisplayLang=en

Next clear your Internet Explorer temporary files/cache. You first need to identify which version of Internet explorer you are using:

Open Internet Explorer, Select 'Help', Select 'About Internet Explorer'.

For Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Vista Users

1. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools >
Internet Options
2. In the "Browsing history" section in the middle, click "Delete"
3. A window will appear, click the "Delete files" button at the top (this may take a few moments to complete)
4. Click "Close" at the bottom
5. Click "OK" to close the Internet Options window
6. Reboot your PC and try again.

For Internet Explorer 6

1. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools >
Internet Options
2. Click the "Delete Files" button in the middle
3. A new box should appear, tick the box "Delete Offline Content"
4. Click OK (this may take a few moments to complete)
5. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
6. Reboot your PC and try again.

I had same problem and emailed 4od and they sent me same thing as above but nothing worked and ive just found out why, I had installed windows xp sp3 on a update and theres problems with sp3, so ive uninstalled sp3 and now everything works fine. if youve got the same problem ask yourself do you have sp3 and if so downgrade back to service pack2 by going into add/remove in control panel and uninstall windows servicepack3. hope this helps some people cause nothing worked for me only this.

Yep, exactly the same problem. Did everything suggested above and did not resolve the issue.

It does appear to be a problem with SP3. Surely the fix is not to uninstall SP3 though?

Our technical team performed substantial testing on 4oD when SP3 was released to ensure compatibility and have found no errors - This issues is most likely caused by either WMP or DRM. We recommend against removal of SP3 as it contains many security patches.
