I have had 4od for a while and today when I tried to download something there was a message saying i had to upgrade to use 4od so i tried to download it and got this message:

Error 1720

This then removed my previous 4od so now i have none. Has anyone else had this problem, if so what did you do?

I haven't had this problem, but you could try downloading the 4oD setup program again from the site just in case the update download got corrupted in some way. Then reinstall 4oD from scratch with the new file you download.

This has been quite a common problem for people upgrading the client.

There are a number of things to try.

(1) Make sure you have the latest version of Java from java.com

(2) Make sure downloading is stopped and clear out all the downloaded programmes (use 4oD offline if necessary). Stop KService.exe and set it to Disabled, restart the computer and try to uninstall and reinstall 4oD.

(3) Make sure KService is not running and delete a bunch of 4oD, Kontiki and Kdx folders, startup stuff etc. Restart the computer and try to install 4oD.
