I've battled with C4od for about a week now with my Windows Vista Basic.... Everytime I tried to load it almost got to the end of the install wizard and I then received the above error message.
To clear it on Vista version 32 or 64 try mannually resetting.
1. Choose Start > All programmes > Accessories 2. Right click on the Command icon, choose run as administrator and confirm. 3. Navigate to Windows\System 32 4. At the prompt, type regsvr32 jscript.dll and press enter 5. When a dialog box with the message 'DllRegisterServer in jscript.dll succeeded' appears click ok 6. Re-run install and repair the programme and it should be ok.
Thanks, got it to download properly, but now it wont open - is it an administrator access problem? Going mad - want to watch my favourite shows and into TV not computers. Please help!
I have tried for the 2738 error but get the exact message: "regsvr32vbscript.dll is not recognised an internal or exrenal command, operable program or batch file"
Thanks for that. Tried again, this time got :The module vbscript.dll was loaded but the call to dll register service failed with error code 0x80004005.
That one means you aren;t runnin gthe command prompt as an administrator. Make sure you right clicked and chose 'Run as Administrator (step 2 in thedivinemissm's instructions).
Hi, I've right-clicked on the command prompt to run as administrator but all I get is a black window with: 'Microsoft Windows Version..." Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
conor_p_mcc, you are doing nothing wrong, you have achieved the first step. Here is the rest
The black window you are seeing is known as "Command Prompt" and is where you type commands to achieve actions instead of say clicking something.
Basically what you have to do is type the following commands in order (im on vista, your location/folder structure could be different, anything in brackets is a comment, do not actually write it!):
cd C:\Windows\System32 (hit enter) regsvr32 jscript.dll (hit enter)
A nice little window should pop up saying something like its done, your good to go! If you get an error message try running command prompt as an administrator (as suggested by Qsheep and thedivinemissm)
To run command prompt as admin and i quote:
1. Choose Start > All programmes > Accessories 2. Right click on the Command icon, choose run as administrator and confirm.
Run the installer again and it should work. If its says its already installed, choose modify and follow that through to the end.
