I've lost the will to live I've been made to jump through so many hoops!

So thre3e years later after having downloaded and promised my C4 login will work, then finding out they LIED it doesn't!!!

I register again only to find they want my credit card, Date of Birth and postcode.

WHY? I just want to watch something that's advertised as FREE so why do you want all that nonsense?

Sounds very Big Brother to me.

I read the T&Cs and was no better off.

You think you've got problems so far? Wait until you actually try and use it - you cannot have more than a couple of downloads going and half-a-dozen files stored at a time without the peer-to-peer software going haywire.

And they refuse to take any action to cure this issue.

You don't need to enter credit card details unless you're paing for something.

Thanks for your replies. I was not happy when it asked for DOB, and I clicked on 'Why do we need Date of Birth?', and they said to verify credit card. - BS!

So that made me think I was gonna be asked for CC number. I abandoned registering though.

I never give my correct DOB to websites, only banks, doctors and other official bodies, coz I used to be a civil servant, and your name and DOB is ALL someone needs to find out nearly EVERYTHING about you!

So I make an xls sheet with coded passwords and fake DOBs so I know what BS I've told them. Way too many ppl give too much info about themselves online. And websites such as this do NOT need your DOB.

If I wasn't going to put in my CC number, then they need not ask for my DOB.

And to add insult to injury, 4OD is in my system tray using tons of ram and C$ are so sneaky, the icon is invisible til you hover over it!

wow you obviously have a lot of issues! If you always fake your DOB then why not just enter a random one here and view your programme. By the time you have come here and posted your comments you could have been watching the programme. Anyway if you read the T&C's then you would have seen that it always runs (unless you kill the process).

But as it stated that the reason for the DOB was to verify I didn't think I'd get away with a fake DOB as I'd later have to put in my CC number.

Yes, I have issues - my friend and my ex boss have both been victims of id theft.

you only have to enter your credit card details if you try and watch something that says its to rent. the only programmes that are free are the ones that have been on C4 in the past week (or is it past month now?)
you have to enter your DOB because some of the programmes have swearing/nudity etc. so people under a certain age cant watch it. whats the big problem with putting your DOB in?!

and im not 2 sure about the postcode but it might be just so they can see where people are watchind 40D from (for surveys etc.)
