Having just recently installed BBC iplayer I now keep getting a message from 4OD telling me that PIN access has been enabled.
I never set a PIN for iplayer when I installed it and have never set one for 4od and yet now whenever I click sign in/register from the main page it asks me for a PIN which I don't have and can't get any further. Have tried uninstalling 4od and iplayer completely but and reinstalling 4od only but nothing. Tried cleaning out the registry of all things 4od/Kontiki but still nothing.
Channel 4 support say that I should have an option on a log in screen to choose whether or not to allow pin access but the log in screen is covered by the PIN access screen and I can't see it.
As a result I can't use 4OD at all to download or stream because I can't even log in. Help!
If you have a problem, if no-one else can help and if you can find them maybe you can hire... The A Team.
4oD has content reflecting the broad range of Channel 4's programmes, including those which may not be suitable for younger viewers. We have a PIN system to enable adults to control access to 4oD by others who may use this computer.
Before you log in 4oD will prompt you to make one of two choices. The 1st option, on the left hand side, is choosing not to setup a PIN. This can be done by ticking the terms box and clicking the 'Watch 4oD' button below. The 2nd option, on the right hand side, allows you to setup a PIN to control access. This prevents other people, that use your computer, being able to access 4oD.
After choosing you will be prompted to login to 4oD using your usual details. You should only be prompted about a PIN at the start of each 4oD session.
