Hi poly. Popeye mentioned you in another thread so I did a search for your latest post, as I just wanted to offer my condolances on your loss.

The only way I know to deal with it is to keep in mind without being morbid about it that every life has a termination date, and I believe that the "dead" just pass over to another plane of existence. If there's anything you wish you had told your Mother before she passed, or anything you want to say to her now, you can just say it aloud and she will hear it. But in the end, when the time feels right for you, we just have to "let them go".

I had a hard time over my Mother's passing because she had been very ill and even though I did speak to her just before she left us, there was no reaction to even show that she knew I was there. The doctor told my sister and I that Mum wanted to go, so I told Mum if that was true she shouldn't worry about my feelings. In the last few years I hadn't seen much of her "in the flesh", and if anything I was upset because I didn't miss her as much as I thought I should. I just accepted it as a happy release for her, and just hope I'm right in believing that I will see her again when my time comes.

Not sure how much that will make you feel any better but something or someone was asking me to write it!!

im sorry to here that polyg . I lost my dad at the begining of last month . has still not sunk in . its the smallest of things that can kick it off was going through my phone the other week and still have dad as contact on my mobile cant delete it . things will get better .know that from losing my mum 10 years ago

When my Mum-in-law died I kept her number on my mobile phone for about a year, just couldn't bring myself to delete it. Every time I came across the number I had an urge to ring her. Everyone does little things to help them cope.
