Another sad game. Don't feel we got to know him very well when he was on the wings but he seemed a sincere and genuine guy. If you read this Bash, sorry you didn't win more.
I can't remember such a protracted run of poor games. I am sure this must not only affect moral but also what the players percieve as a good offer. If I was on the show at the moment a 15k offer would seem like a fortune and tempt me to deal. Can't be great for ratings either as the show relies on the big prizes to excite the audience. Hope thing change soon.
The contestants do seem to be having a run of bad luck at the mo but one thing is bugging me and sorry I have to say this but I am a tad tired of all the sob stories they are there to win money and if its meant to be then its meant to be sob story or no sob story

I'd like to think they're not but who knows. Perhaps someone who has applied can tell us if there is anywhere on the application form where they include that sort of thing?
There is a section that asks about disabilities, but I think that is asked everywhere now. And I think they ask what you would do with a big win. So if you have a worthy cause that would be the place to mention it. Not sure if evryone has seen the application form but it's huge! Like applying for the job from hell.
It makes for very uncomfortable viewing when those with a sob story go away with nothing and judging by the atmosphere in the studio the pilgrims must feel very uncomfortable too. It takes away from DOND being a light hearted gameshow with the chance to win money (big hopefully).
But to be fair to Bash, he didn't say about helping his friends in Iraq until the end and then only when asked by Noel. He kept his reason for wanting to come on the show quite general at the beginning.

Have you applied then chobo? If the answer's yes then you know what that means - it's poem time!!
Another terrible game,it started off well too. The way Bash took it was awful(amazing) The banker was back to his true colours(didn`t last long).Really Mr Banker offering Bash 10k and £2,500 for Derek tut tut.

He said this wasn't enough to help family and friends in Iraq so he had to go on and try to win more.

Morning Posh Paws. Shame about Bash but I agree with you, he didn't give his reasons for not dealing at £14,000 until the end of the show.

It would be worth a try - you never know, all his bad luck might suddenly be turned around
With the odds of winning the lottery at 14,000,000/1 if you had been betting ten pounds a week for the last 2000 years, statistically you would not yet have won the jackpot.

Yes in a moment of madness I did. I'm under no illusions about my chances of getting on telly but I would like to have the interview and see a bit of the 'behind the scenes'. The poem I'm afraid has been forgotten which is annoying because I remember being pleased with it. It was the rest of the form I struggled with! EG Q. What's the bravest thing you've ever done? In all honesty I've not done anything terribly brave!
So I think my application form might already have met with Mr Shredder...

Hi Posh and Chobo, there haven't been that many players who have been brave. The questions they ask you are very clever....they only want to see your personality hence the psycological(is this correct?) questions.
