Looking forward to the new series of The Apprentice which starts on Wednesday. I like documentaries, loved Coast and I also watch some soaps.

I agree about Coast. I saw quite a good programme last night exposing the truth about reflexology. Can't agree with the other things you mention, though.

I also saw the programme on reflexology, I can't see the logic behind it. My daughter in law is a reflexologist and does Indian head massage, she has made a good living out of it, there must be people who beleive in it but not me. It didn't do anything for me when she done it on me. Maybe it's this "positive thinking" thing, who knows

I think that's all it is, plus the fact that a decent massage will feel good, and that's basically what the programme said. As for certain points in the feet being connected to the body's various organs, I'm sure most patients believe this is medical fact, but the programme showed what a load of rubbish this was. I didn't realize this 'mapping' of the organs was invented by someone as recently as 1939, and with no medical training whatsoever. A lot of people make a very good living out of it, based on the public's ignorance, herd mentality, and unwillingness to think for themselves and find out the truth. Now, what does that remind me of? Having said that, positive thinking can be very beneficial. It will have absolutely no effect in helping you find out what's inside a box, but it can help you in everday life.

The Apprentice, Strictly, Dancing on Ice (and no, I don't waste my money voting for any of them), HIGNFY, Top Gear, Neighbours, Doctors, Poirot, Lewis, Midsomer Murders, sport and various sitcoms and films. Is that enough for you?

I'm still loyal to Coronation Street, though it's going off a bit lately. I love MASH - my fave TV programme bar none (excluding DOND). The only problem with the re-runs on Paramount is that they have the laugh track on whereas the originals didn't.

I like the soaps (Corry & Enders) but my favourite has to be anything with Gordon Ramsay in it, The USA Kitchen Nightmares are great, I am also partial to vet programmes!!

Looking at some of the programmes that you folk watch, it's no wonder that you like DOND.
DOND is only watchable because of it's crapness. Watching the cerebrally challenged make fools of themselves in front of millions is good sport in this country (BB; Wife Swap; & I could go on)
Get a life and watch Skins!

Just wondered if your comments extend to contributors of the DOND forum, usually people reading these posts are folk who want to go on the prog. I might be Not-All-There, but I'm not cerebrally challenged!!

Okay, shoot me down but I love DOND, Doctor Who (both the old and new style shows), Ghost Whisperer, Grown Ups, Columbo, Quantum Leap, Poirot, Campion, Star Trek (all varieties), Last Detective, Dukes Of Hazzard, Wonder Woman, Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Hotel Babylon, Outer Limits, Blakes 7, Space 1999, Sapphire & Steel, On The Buses, Vicar Of Dibley, Yes (Prime) Minister, A Very Peculiar Practice, X Files, Fawlty Towers, Miss Marple (the Joan Hickson version not the dire Marple ITV version). have most of these on DVD to watch whenever I get the urge but very disappointed that only the first season of Last Detective, A Very Peculiar Practice and Campion were ever available on DVD. Looking forward to The Apprentice too.

Couldn't agree more. People here ask me why I watch. For the reason you mention - it's so bad, it's extremely amusing. I particularly like it when the cocky, mouthy ones, like Matty the other day and Simon a few months ago, go away with 1p. Many of the programmes mentioned, particularly the soaps and reality shows, are indeed what you would expect DOND fanatics to watch.

So watching a programme about the youth of today and the growing drug cultures and loutish behaviour which is sweeping aside the decency in this country is NOT crap!! That should fan some embers!!!!

This is the sort of post I was hoping for. Well done, Kaledmutan. Lots of stuff, and you've obviously given it some thought. A real mixture of gems like Fawlty Towers, Yes Minister and Columbo amongst rubbish like Hotel Babylon and Grown Ups (in my view).
