It all went wrong.
Deal or no deal?

Did the chicken imitation have anything to do with her suicidal plunge ? I thought he had given it up. Make chicken noises and then cuddle the losers. Like a previous extravert lady she gloried in the limelight and like the previous lady - lost the plot. I was amazed I felt sure she would take £21,000 - clearly her time as a bookies clerk taught her nothing.I hope she could afford it.

I got the impression she was not aware of the true value the the money she had lost.
And while you are on Gamesman answer the question I posed in your Psychology thread please!

Diddy is one lovely lady, she did not cry, she did not regret what she had done, as she said she had her dream in the man in the life, just a pity she did not take the 21K, would have been nice to take the grand-daughter away or just to treat the family, she played the game her way, maybe with regrets!! Hind sight is a wonderful thing, it could have gone the other and again we would all be saying good game, well played!!!

I was sure she would have taken the 21k. It was such a good sum to be offered, especially since the banker hasn't been offering over 20k lately. Perhaps she was influenced by Martin who DID deal at 20k, but was subsequently offered 40k and had 35k in his box?

She ignored my advice, always deal at £20k, refused £21k and ended up with £750, she was lucky to get that, no sympathy.

Recently the offers have been very poor. I think the demise of the phone in comp might well be a factor. So I agree, in today's climate, £20k is a fortune. But for players willing to go all the way, now has never been a better opportunity. The offers are so poor, less is risked if you do go on [and potential rewards better].
But for the sake of the show they better get a few big winners soon. The low value wins don't exactly get the heart pumping do they?!

Why does everyone duck Noels chicken impression ? Are they chicken ??

The guys on the wings , when giving advice, must have it in their minds that if they appear 'chicken' their offers will be reduced when they play. Make you wonder how genuine the advice is ,when you appreciate the pressure they are under to 'be brave'. The bravest of those on the wings I think, are those who say 'deal'.

I think that is an excellent analysis and lets face it if people aren't prepared to gamble to the end we aren't going to see any big winners any time soon ..........

Like Gamesman I was surprised a bookmaker's daughter gambled the way she did, having admitted to seeing big losses in her dad's shop. It is always risky to no deal at 5 box with only 2 reds left. 90% chance of taking at least one and unluckily for her it was the £75,000 that went. She said at 8 box she liked a 50-50 board with 4 reds and 4 blues but unfortunately that meant an even chance of going home with £750 or less which is what happened.

It really annoyed me when Noel did that chicken impression at the guy that advised her to deal. I thought Noel wasn't supposed to influence the game. They might as well change the title to "Chicken or no Deal".
|
| |
|

|
I doubt very much whether Noel can realise what an amount like £20,000 for example means to some people. Just loose change to him really.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion

I thought diddy made the wrong decision, she must have plenty money already. As for the chicken comment, Noel has to do his job and look at things from both sides. Turn the sound down and you may enjoy the game better.
