Just read how Molson chose her name and avatar, it's nice to know how people choose things, I'd like to know how chobo and kalidmutant chose theirs, or am i being too nosey ?
Not nosey at all. Kaledmutant has much to do with my many years of being a devoted fan of Doctor Who and the avatar was just one I felt appropriate to go with my name!

I grew up with Jon Pertwee as The Doc with the Brigadier and Sarah-Jane, so he was always my favourite. Loved The planet of the Spiders and The Green Death stories. But also love Peter Cushing in the two Darlek films. You have a fav Doc Kaled?

I wanted something that would be short [easy for others to type], friendly sounding and androgenous [to keep people guessing for a while!]
My first few tries were already taken, then I tried 'Hobo' This too was taken and, getting impatient, I decided that by adding one letter I could sort out the whole thing quickly by coming up with a word that didn't exist!
Am I still androgenous or have you worked it out now?
Chobo, thanks for the reply,i thought i knew what you were, but now you've given me something to think about, i remember you started with a candle and then changed, and i see you are a doctor who fan, yes, you are still androgenous.

I started out with the candle but when I realised Posh had it, I changed it. Just picked it cos it was a nice colour.
Thought people would have worked out if I'm a boy or girl by now. Should I worry?!

Lindy I'm offended that you don't think females can be quick witted. And chobo, I thought you were female! OMG I've done it again, I made the same mistake with Lee

I'm so shocked. I'm frantically trying to think back, have I made any serious 'faux pas' with you chobo? I was convinced you were female. I feel so silly
I also thought you were female. Sorry chobo. The only inkling I've had that you are male was today on the other thread when you likened my daughter's nosebleed to a bottle of milk being spilt and broken. That seems a male obversation somehow! Anyway glad your gender's clear now!!
Chobo, i allways thought you were female untill you said you were a doctor who fan, then i thought you must be male but didn't want to say as i thought you might not want to be exposed so to speak.
No worries folks for thinking I'm a girl - after all I have just been watching Graham Norton's search for a Nancy and am now waiting for Love Soup to start!
Sorry Posh! Was it the love of Abba and theatre that confused the isue? I have a bit of a girl's job too - I'm a nurse!! Regardless of everything it shows that we can all be pals [just like the film with Meg Ryan and Billy Chrystal , who's title I can't remember]
There's nothing to be sorry about. It was everything really, the things you mentioned and the choice of the lilac flowers as your avatar. I'm a nurse too by the way.
Can I just ask you though chobo, what illusions of me I shattered for you when I said what my boyfriend's choice of song for me would be? That has intrigued me ever since.
I thought you were implying you "Drove him crazy" with nagging etc, while I always thought of you as so nice! So that was my shattered illusion [though I know it was said in jest - I hope!] I have since realized you might be driving him crazy with passion!

Chobo, thank you for your kind words about my being so nice, but remember you said yourself the net can be so deceiving! What I was getting at is that I'm a deep and complicated person and my boyfriend gets very frustrated trying to understand me.
