Chobo, thank you for your kind words about my being so nice, but remember you said yourself the net can be so deceiving! What I was getting at is that I'm a deep and complicated person and my boyfriend gets very frustrated trying to understand me. [/QUOTE]

I grew up with Jon Pertwee as The Doc with the Brigadier and Sarah-Jane, so he was always my favourite. Loved The planet of the Spiders and The Green Death stories. But also love Peter Cushing in the two Darlek films. You have a fav Doc Kaled?
Hi chobo, Jon Pertwee was The Doctor when I first started to watch and read Dr. Who but I always found Peter Davison to be quite a beguiling persona of the Time Lord. Also he had two of the sexiest assistants in Tegan and Peri (especially Peri ). Mind you I do think David Tennant is a phenomenal tour de force and I feel sad that Chris Eccleston left so quickly as he did portray the Doctor really well. My favourite three stories were Robots Of Death, Image Of The Fendahl and Horror Of Fang Rock. However Peter Davison really gave his all in his swansong Caves Of Androzani and this too is right up there along with Genesis Of The Daleks, the first occasion when we met Davros. Apparently Davros is back in the finale to this season, should be very good indeed. Also, unlike the various TV critics I actually think Catherine Tate is very good as Donna, after all look how sceptical people were of Billie Piper to start with and later it seemed no one wanted her to leave!!! Sorry, waffling, can't help it when on the subject of Dr. Who!!!!!

Just a bit!! Yes, love TNG. Bought the whole series on DVD through the fortnightly magazine a few years ago and then found I could have got the full set for a fraction of that price. C'est la vie!! If you are interested in other shows I like then check out the BEST/WORST TV thread from a short while back and see all the shows I have collected!! Tis a shame that there weren't any more TNG films but the new one coming looks pretty awesome!

Hi Andrea33 Your name isn't Floella by any chance?? Haven't seen Torchwood as yet but have heard it is pretty good. Hi chobo It was quite a list and I missed a couple (there was an update to the list in the same thread). Columbo was always on TV when I was a young lad and when I discovered my wife loved it too I got the Season 1 - 4 box set as a Christmas pressie. I have just procured Season 8 and I have a feeling there are still plenty more to be released!! All this talk got me ordering all seven seasons of Star Trek: Voyager last night, too!!!! And I need to squeeze DOND into my TV week!!!!

Hi linz1 - think it was possibly her age when she joined the Forum but not sure! You hope and little Charlies are doing OK. Oops. Should have been "Charlie" and not "Charlies".

Muggy, how did you get your name? Do you wear a hoodie and hang aroud outside off licences swigging cider, waiting for little old ladies to amble by?!

|
Chobo, glad you are no longer 'indisposed'. Your name always poses a grammatical dilemma for me for 2 reasons - a) one should always begin a sentence with a capital letter and b)all names should have a capital letter. I try to write a person's name exactly as they have chosen it, so how do I get round this problem with yours?
|
| |
|

|
It was my mistake, not yours. I typed it in when frustrated with the whole signing in thing. If I could go back it would be capitalized! So I think I'd use a capital if I were you. And thanks for caring

Ok. I'm always being told I think too much about things. It's not always an advantage but it's hard to change if that's the way you are.
