Although, it adds climax to the show I highly disagree with this, as it is simply unfair to other contesttant. I think the banker now does this because like in Michelle's game the offer would have gone down to £8,500 and the banker did not want to portay this fact, as there was a possibility he can gain a victory.
I thought it was a nice twist and it was an easy choice for me No Deal (even though as it turns out that was the wrong decision). As i see it the potential gain was far outweighted by the potential loss, still each to their own.

It was an unusual twist and the banker often does unusual things. I agree with Posh Paws, though, it's unlikely that a player would take the gamble after being secure in the knowledge that 15k had been won. She was lucky, though, getting to go outside with Noel
It was a daft idea : she had already refused a chance to get £75 k on an excelent bord with small risk of leaving with nothing : why take a chance to get £35 k with high ( 50/50) chance of leaving with nothing
