me too, the reason why i am even more annoyed is that not only did Alex get offered £14,900 when it should have been atleast £26,000....that the banker lied by saying he would have offered £68,000...when he really would not have...

I think you are spot on D+#1F!
The offer should have been the £26k and no way would the next have been £68 more like £41k, but then when the deal has been accepted, he always then offers more than he would if game was still in live play. Mad

But I also think it was so wrong of Noel to shout at Greg like he did, if that was me it would have upset me for the rest of my time there...as it is you are really nervous, and I really thought that was totally unnecessary, even if the banker did say that, Noel should have refused to pass his message on! Angry

All in all....I think tonights show was a total shambles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shake Head

Why o why doesn't a player tell the banker to go to hell or some other appropriate place, the banker can do anything he likes bar one, that is to change the values in the boxes, so if you have a big red in your box the banker will still want to buy it no matter what you say to him, so enjoy it Crazy

I agree with most of the above but with one word of caution. People must remember that half the boxes are Blue and if everyone went to the endmost would go home with 5k or less. The players rely on the offers if they hope to go home with a respectable sum.
Which is even more reason to say that messing with the offers was a very unfair thing to do.

BUT - it did add a new element to the game, will keep the players on their toes, and keep the fans talking!!

But not a particularly pleasant element, though.

I agree Peggy. But I liken it to an undeserved penalty in football. The fans don't like it but the pub talk is of nothing else for days [remember Maradonna's Hand of God]. Spices things up a bit.

I suppose, then, when talk of this trick goes stale, the banker will pull another stunt to keep players and fans on the hop!!
