I thought it was really mean of him to offer £20.000 and then drop it to 18 cause he didn't like the joke, that extra £2.000 would have meant a lot to that guy.

I agree, but I don't think even the banker expected him to deal. Was a bit of a shocker wasn't it?

I was stunned. I certainly expected him to go on another round. I thinkt that the sparkle went straight out of his round.

Once again I felt the offers after the deal were a tad on the high side compared to the likely offers had Ronnie stayed in the game and not dealt.

Dropping to offer was mean, but it will stop people trying to get the offer increased like Ronnie did.
It was like a different man playing once he had dealt, the smile went and all the joke stopped. I think the banker really got to him.

It was mean and the dynamics of the game certainly changed after that. But as Posh Paws said, there's no way he would have expected him to deal.

I was expecting the banker to phone at the end of the game to say you can have the £2.000 back.

Ronnie is a lovely man,I'll bet he's a lot of fun. Nod I was really surprised when he dealt at £18.000, & the banker was really mean when he dropped the offer of £20.000,but correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't the baker say something about " not making any more offers& goodnight" & maybe that's why Ronnie dealt when he did.I could be wrong about this,& I didn't record it Disappointed Can someone put me right Smile

I don't recall him saying that Molson, but you could be right, perhaps ourturkishlove could answer that for you as he/she must have recorded it.
