This won't happen but wouldn't it be good if next week they have a rollover to celebrate the banker's birthday. Every day that the quarter mill doesn't come to the table they could increase it by £50000 in the next game so by the end of the week they could be playing for half a million ! Last time they had that amount in the game it went early, maybe in the first box, I can't recall but in those days they had more money from the phone competition.

Wise players learn from others' mistakes, greedy fools from their own.

If I remember rightly that show was hyped up and when the huge money went early it was a massive anti-climax!

I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that! You cant speak anyway...making false statistics eg saying always deal after £20,000 is a good idea.

perhaps you could tell me, you seem to have all the facts and figures. How often does the banker even reach £20k nowadays? and when he did offer that much, how many people refused it and then lived to regret it when they won peanuts.?

I'll reserve judgement until I've seen the shows this week but personally, I don't usually like the shows with gimmicks so much.

Smile Hi Posh Paws. I agree with you, I don't like the gimmicks, seem a but contrived to me. Enjoy your day. Wave

I don't like these games either apart from the christmas shows with the turkey. I wonder who the first player is.

I didn't think that was very nice at the beginning when Noel was explaining what would happen in today's show, it showed a burnt photo of Laura in the hearth.

I found that very disturbing. I know it's meant to be a joke but I didn't laugh. Shake Head

I can give you 1,000's of examples although, some games have proved to be in your favour like Diddy however how about the following:
Justin: £26,000 (could have had £60k and £250k in box)
Donna: £21,000 (could have had £170k +)
Sara: £30,000 (could have had £175k+)
Kate: £21,000 (could have had £250k)
Jon: £20,000 (could have had £250k)
Chris S: £22,500 (could have had £75k +)
Martin: £13,000 (could have had £40,000)
He doesnt always offer £20k, and I agree maybe dealling at that amount is a good idea, but you say ALWAYS...you simply CANNOT make statements like that! I agree with you, to some degree that £20,000 is rarely offered anymore and some people like Diddy declined over £20,000 and won a blue amount but you have to see that there has to be a balance take Tom's game for an example too, he dealt at £20,000 and could have had £29,000!

There is a site, but I don't use sites, I have my memory! Nod
I only have records of how many times values come to the table and in what numbers.
But, see I gave a good argument? The geek comment...? was it necceassary?

Yes there is. If you go into the official DOND website there is a link to every player's game and statistics.

I would expect you'd have a rebuttal? You asked me to give my view, I gave it...still waiting for your POV.....

I agree with Posh Paws about gimmicks. Players get 2 reds then hope they get another one just so they can open a card. Crazy !

The dynamics of the game are changed with the current gimmick. After revealing two reds in a round, the player normally would wish to dodge another red, but with this silly gimmick they are hoping for a third!!!!!
