I have noticed many people dislike the gimmicks for special shows such as the eggs, for easter and the heart for valentines day...but I just want to know, that does anyone find that it adds more climax to the show? Personally, I think it does to some degree however, it also saves the banker a lot of money (this has been shown in Matty's game) when the offer of £20,000 on the 4th round should have been atleast £22,500. However, the egg allowing him to win £35k was offered. So, my question is, do you think it adds more dramatic tension/climax? Or is it something cheesy and not needed?
I don't dislike ALL the gimmicks. Some of them have added a positive climax to the show. However, this easter egg gimmick seems to be nothing but a reason for the banker to offer low and use the egg to give the pretence of a good deal. As Mark said when he was offered double for a good egg, or 1p for a bad egg, it was 3 to 1 against him, so he had to go on. That takes away the player's choice somewhat.
