Didn't really care what Julie went home with. Another one with a bad attitude to money. 3,000 is a lot of money to me and she just brushed it aside. Probably a nice person off screen but I didn't really take to her. Sorry Frown

Totally agree with you Lindy. She was way too full of herself, trying to be funny and it all back fired. She's lucky she got what she did.

Guess what, girls? I liked Julie (although I do admit she was a bit dismissive of the offer of £3,800). However I did feel sorry for her losing both the big two in her first round.

I was quite shocked she had a 12 year old daughter but the picture showed her daughter had inherited her mum's stunning good looks in spades.

As has been the trend of late with the show the offers were pretty meagre (even despite the numbers which fell) and the game no longer has the real attention grabbing interest it used to have, hence the games seem boring at the moment.

I actually thought the game was really drab, no offence to Julie but it lacked something which I can not put my finger on, there was no buzz!!!!

Low offer games rarely come to life like the big money ones. And that's the trouble at the moment I'm afraid.

Another boring game, apart from the antics of going out of the studio. I think Julie was too full of herself after speaking to the banker on the phone and it backfired. But a game where the 100k and 250k are taken out in the first round is never going to amount to much.

You're right there Peggy,
I got the feeling that Noel didn't like her from the point where she said something like who asked your opinion.

Yeah, he didn't look very impressed when she was talking about him to the banker.

And he seemed to enjoy telling her how bad her game was.

Disappointed
Oh my! Although, it wasn't a big money game, it doesnt mean it was boring!
Okay, she "dissed" an offer but thats probably in game play terms. I mean, normally a person would not decline just say £10,000! But, we see it getting declined occasionally on DOND. I think in the actual game, a person has a certain sum in mind, and are motivated to get, and like Anne said on another thread.
"If the board looks good, gamble, if not...DEAL!'

Anyway, catch you guys later! Back to hit the books! Wave

...Oh, and I knew she would have yet another big red in her box!
Shes had the £35,000 on several occasions!
I had a feeling she had bought another one to the table!

Does anyone know what "the rules are" for DOND and if the contestants are given any before their game. Noel told Julie she must stick to the "rules" and play the game as she would have, after dealing she chose to get box 22 out of the way as it was a jinx box for her and Noel wouldn't let her open it for that reason. Julie did not open that box at all. If there are rules for the contestants then surely there are some for Noel and the banker who both seem to flaunt them to suit themselves. GRRRRR!!!! Mad

I was surprised she dealt at 5k having dissed £3800. I must admit I got bored and switched over to the snooker - another one-sided encounter !

I was surprised that Noel actually told Julie that she must stick to the "rules" of the game. After all, if she hadn't commented on box 22 but just kept it to herself, then he wouldn't have known whether she was flouting the rules or not. And I agree that if a player is told to "stick by the rules" then the banker should be told to.

How can the banker say that the person has accepted £30000, but the offer for the board board should have been £40000 or whatever. I think there should be a rule that he has to make offers that match up to what`s on the board. If it`s sauce for the goose it should be sauce for the gander.

Good point lilypop. After all Noel is always telling players who've dealt to play on "with total honesty."

I did not warm to Julie either. Her affectations and her sticking her toungue out and smacking her lips was annoying. A show off. Having said that it was not fair of Noel not to let her open box 22 if that is what she wanted....
