What makes it worse is that two of my sons are away, and the one who lives near me had an accident this week and can`t drive.Never rains but it pours.Managed to sort out transport apart from the weekend, and it gave me a kick up the btm to get on the train, so that`s one good thing.

Anyway Alvor was a lovely little fishing village [that is geting touristy now] where there was little to do but enjoy the food, drink, the sun and the quiet pace of life. A great chillin' holiday.

Morning everyone. A better day here after the gales yesterday - think we've lost a tree in the back garden - a twisted willow, as half the roofs are now on the surface. What a shame but it's still better than losing the roof of your house! Hope you all had a decent weekend and have not suffered too much from the strong winds. Been out early with the dog as my husband is back to work today (he usually takes him for the early walk when he is on annual leave), hung my washing out and done most of my jobs (I was up at 6.00 am today) so I'm hoping to watch a little tennis this afternoon. Morning everyone! We went to our caravan this weekend Rosebud and what a nightmare! Gale force winds and torrential rain for 2 days solid! Bloody typical i say, i wonder if i can get my money back for the BBQ i bought

Got a good tip at work today which you might be interested in.

If a thief ever frog marches you to a cash point and demands you take out some cash, put your number in backwards. The thief will never know, as the cash will pop out, but an alert will go off at the police station and they will send help.

Don't see how that would work. Surely the machine would reject your card if you put the wrong pin number in? Or am I being thick?
