Had a better night's sleep last night, thank goodness. Don't feel as itchy this morning but the rash is still rather painful. Hope you all have a great day and thanks for all your good wishes. Only one more day to DOND!! Hug
Glad you had a better night Muggy, hope you continue to improve. Weather's horrible here again. You'd think it had never rained before !!! Never mind, Noel's back tomorrow, so that'll take our minds off the weather. Take care & keep well Hug

Smile Thanks Molson. Been quite nice here again today but not as settled as yesterday. Very warm when the sun is out but rather blustery when the clouds come over. Great day for drying washing though! Enjoy the rest of your day. Hug

That`s good news Muggy.Glad to hear you`re on the mend. Lots of sun this week and my skin`s no worse , so if I can keep it under control won`t go back to the spec.Trying spray and ointment off the internet, as well as soaking in tea , trying not to use steroid stuff. Probably mad!! Roll Eyes

Smile Hi Muggy pleased to hear you are feeling a little better. The rain is back again and we refilled some of our hanging baskets yesterday, hope we don't get the deluges and ruin them again. Are you still doggy sitting? I expect the forum will be busy tomorrow after we have seen the new format.
Hope you get a good nights sleep. Hug

Smile Morning everyone. Lovely here again at the moment but looks like we all in for deluge tomorrow, so make the most of it today! Yes, anne, I'm still dog sitting until Friday of this week - will miss him when he goes home as he's been very good and follows me everywhere. I was out with him early this morning and it was lovely and quiet - didn't see anyone. Think I'm on the mend now, still a bit itchy this morning but nowhere near as bad as it was. Hope you all have a great day and get time to watch DOND today! Well done with your "no smoking" anne. Didn't realise it had been a month. You must have loads of willpower. Keep it up. Hug

Good morning all, a bit cloudy here today, haven't seen the forecast though so not sure what we are in for.

Yes, the day has finally arrived, been very strange without it hasn't it.

Hi Molson. Shame about the weather. It`s lovely here, but I`ve been busy baking ready for my visitors next week, so not sat out.Grandson`s coming for a week and must have plain queencakes, and I`ve always got to have the makings for an Eve`s pudding for my grandaughter who`s coming for a couple of days. We`re away at the weekend so trying to get all done this week. How did we cope without freezers ? Hi Lilypop, I guess I should be used to our weather, but it gets so depressing, grey skies day after day !!! I was definitely spoiled when I was in Australia earlier this year. We didn't get rain at all in 7 weeks (Bliss ),but they're desperate for rain, so I suppose we are quite lucky. It'll be lovely having your Grandchildren visiting you.We live close to our family, so when they were small we had them all the time, & I loved it.The three of them have all moved away now, (they're all in their twenties ) & I really miss them all especially my grandaughter in AUS. 'cos she's so far away, but I see the other two often, thank goodness. I agree with you about the freezers. I really don't know how our parents managed without them. How on earth did they keep milk etc.fresh ? We're really spoiled aren't we ?I'm off now to get organised for deal Take care. Hug

Hi Muggy, yes we almost emigrated to Canada a few years ago, but my husband was a cooper to trade, & there was no call for them at that time.Shortly after that both my kids got married then the grandchildren came along, so all our plans fell by the wayside.Still never mind we've had a good life & all the summers haven't been too bad Hug

Confused Good morning everyone and a wet and soggy one it was earlier on, however it's clearing up now - don't know for how long. Still braved it with doggie and we both ended up getting soaked but it won't hurt us will it?
Hope you all have a decent day, in spite of the weather. Hug

Thanks mystic peg my husband enjoys his card making, his class is with about 15 women but he don't mind. They all tell him he makes cards better than them. He has been making them for ages although I say it they are very good, we sell them giving the profit to charity, this year we have chosen Macmillan Nurses fund, we have made £183, I think we are on target for our aim of £200 by their famous coffee morning 28th Sept. Will let you know if we make it.

Just had an idea. Think I will try and design a DOND card, putting the age as the box number.
