It forecast rain last night but we didn't get it. Had a better night's sleep last night, thank goodness. Don't feel as itchy this morning but the rash is still rather painful. Hope you all have a great day and thanks for all your good wishes. Only one more day to DOND!!
Glad you had a better night Muggy, hope you continue to improve. Weather's horrible here again. You'd think it had never rained before !!! Never mind, Noel's back tomorrow, so that'll take our minds off the weather. Take care & keep well

Lots of sun this week and my skin`s no worse , so if I can keep it under control won`t go back to the spec.Trying spray and ointment off the internet, as well as soaking in tea , trying not to use steroid stuff. Probably mad!! You never know lilypop, it just might work!! Anything's worth a try. Enjoy your evening.

Hi Muggy pleased to hear you are feeling a little better. The rain is back again and we refilled some of our hanging baskets yesterday, hope we don't get the deluges and ruin them again. Are you still doggy sitting? I expect the forum will be busy tomorrow after we have seen the new format. Hope you get a good nights sleep.

Good morning all, a bit cloudy here today, haven't seen the forecast though so not sure what we are in for.
Yes, the day has finally arrived, been very strange without it hasn't it.

Hi Lilypop, I guess I should be used to our weather, but it gets so depressing, grey skies day after day !!! I was definitely spoiled when I was in Australia earlier this year. We didn't get rain at all in 7 weeks (Bliss ),but they're desperate for rain, so I suppose we are quite lucky. It'll be lovely having your Grandchildren visiting you.We live close to our family, so when they were small we had them all the time, & I loved it.The three of them have all moved away now, (they're all in their twenties ) & I really miss them all especially my grandaughter in AUS. 'cos she's so far away, but I see the other two often, thank goodness. I agree with you about the freezers. I really don't know how our parents managed without them. How on earth did they keep milk etc.fresh ? We're really spoiled aren't we ?I'm off now to get organised for deal Take care.

Hi Muggy, yes we almost emigrated to Canada a few years ago, but my husband was a cooper to trade, & there was no call for them at that time.Shortly after that both my kids got married then the grandchildren came along, so all our plans fell by the wayside.Still never mind we've had a good life & all the summers haven't been too bad

Thanks mystic peg my husband enjoys his card making, his class is with about 15 women but he don't mind. They all tell him he makes cards better than them. He has been making them for ages although I say it they are very good, we sell them giving the profit to charity, this year we have chosen Macmillan Nurses fund, we have made £183, I think we are on target for our aim of £200 by their famous coffee morning 28th Sept. Will let you know if we make it.

Just had an idea. Think I will try and design a DOND card, putting the age as the box number.
