lovely day in yorkshire today charlie,s new carpet got fitted at dinner time nearly there now at least we will be able to put everything in later on when hubby gets home seen as our bedroom looks like a showroom at ikea!!!!!!god what we have to do!!!!!been for a walk and went to put two euromillions on don,t play it often but thought hey why not then bought a stratch card did it when we got home and won£7.oo and then i thought hey that will pay for my gee gees tomorrow for the national hope we get something last time was about 2 yrs ago heres hoping for a big win good luck to everyone else who has a flutter any way i,m so rambiling better go and prepare some spuds 4 t before dond...have a fab weekend everybody and take care charlie sends a gurgle xxxxxxxx

It was delish, and we had a good old gossip with a bottle of wine as well. Funnily enough Nan we call it dinner in the north east as well, but "girls who dinner" doesn't have the same ring as "girls who lunch"!

Afternoon anne. Hope you're having a nice weekend. My husband and I have just come back from a Football Match (one of his Customer's sponsors our local team) and they treated us to the match and also to lunch in their private box, which was a really nice change and we didn't have to be sat out in the cold. The atmosphere's not the same though but it was still good. Unfortunately, our local team only drew after being 1 - 0 up for most of the match. Weather strange here today, sunshine one minute and hail stones the next but not too bad on the whole. Will have to go and take the doggie for his final walk of the day soon - feel a bit lazy this afternoon which is unusual for me. Going over to Mum's tomorrow to try and persuade her to throw some things away before her move next week. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Theres just no way to comment on some of the contestants as i find that we hardly know anything about some of them.

Ann, do you mean the phone -in comp? I didn't realise that people would miss that so much? Why do you think it was important to this forum?
I think the fact that so many threads get deleted is what spoils things.

I too was wondering what difference the phone-in competition made to the forum. Since I haven't been a member for long, I do not have experience of those past threads to compare. I agree with Chobo that it is boring when posts are deleted for no apparent reason without any feedback. I've logged on many times to see if there have been any replies on interesting threads only to find the whole thread deleted, never mind individual posts. It is so frustrating. However, since I joined I've had some interesting debates, read some very interesting posts, and had a good laugh. I find it a very friendly forum with alot of good banter. Long may it continue that way.

I've ofter wondered why whole theads go, when it would be nice and easy to delete the one or two offending ones [which they often do].
But you are right that despite that, it's a good forum.

I think Anne means the internet comp.....many would come on the forum after.Leading to a good many on to start a discussion ,or dicussions.

Yes, Friday night's "chat" posts were fun - even though they may have been off topic it was still just harmless fun between some forum members. They were neither rude nor controversial, just some members logged on having a chat. What on earth is wrong with that? And you're right that the rude and negative posts don't get deleted when little "chat" sessions do.

I just wanted to quickly post something to get myself off 666 posts. Phew
